Know a horse crazy kid who would love to spend a week at the barn?

At Kamp KJM they will:

*learn to groom, bathe, tack, and untack their horse
*learn basic riding skills
*do horse themed arts and crafts
*have a water day
*Family is invited to a horse show on Friday so the riders can demonstrate all the things they’ve learned through the week with a cookout to follow!

Our summer day camp registration is open now and filling up fast!

Summer Camps | Kjm Equestrian Summer horseback riding camps for ages 7-12 years old include riding instruction, trail rides, mounted drills, horse care and good camaraderie. Horse-oriented videos, arts/crafts and other educational materials are also part of the curriculum.

What a great horse show! We had to pivot due to the weather on Friday and show indoors but it all worked out and we had a great time on a beautiful show day!! Thank you to all who joined us! We appreciate your patience and flexibility. We are always thankful for our horse community!

Due to the rain, we are making a few adjustments for the show tomorrow!

-We will be moving the show inside starting at 8 with the little ring classes, then following with the big ring schedule up to 2’6.

-We’re moving the flats to the beginning of the division to help people warm up. We’ll do a ~5 min break between rotations to let people jump a few jumps before their classes.

-When it’s dry enough outside to have a warm up area we’ll stop those breaks.

-IF it’s dry enough for 2’9-jumpers later in the day we will continue with those outside.

Thanks for being patient with us as we pivot our plans! Thankfully, it looks like it’ll be a beautiful  day tomorrow!

There are a few intersection closures that may affect your route to the barn to be aware of!

The following intersections will be milled on Friday, March 27th and overlaid with asphalt on Saturday, March 28th.
111th St S & Garnett Road
121th St S & Garnett Road
131th St S & Garnett Road

You may need to leave your house a few minutes earlier to accommodate traffic and closures and/or find an alternate route through the neighborhood. Even if you are running late, please remember our speed limit is still 5 MPH!

KJM fans, this Sunday (March 29th) at 1:00 is our annual Horse Show Informational meeting!

Come eat pizza and hear from our instructors about the ins and outs of horse shows: what to expect, what to wear, costs, and to look over the schedule for the year! We will be discussing local shows AND our in house shows. If you have any interest in competing, you won’t want to miss it!

Afterwards, stay to do a little shopping! The Astride Equestrian Provisions tack trailer will be on sight to help fit you for your show attire, or any other equine related purchases!
