From Remedy’s (aka Maui) new person…

“I have to share the sweetest story about the sweetest boy. A couple of weeks ago for the heck of it I decided just to get on, cold. Nothing. No warm up. No saddle. No pad. Just a halter and a lead. I am 120 pounds and I knew just to sit on him would be fine. I went to get on him (and I practice laying across his back every now and then) and he securely stopped and squarely planted all 4 of his feet. He walked me around for a few seconds and I got off. That was in July. The other day I decided to get on him again cold, no warmup or practice work. I went to swing the right leg over him and my left leg was still on the mounting block and he started to give me 'another ride', ha!, and I told him 'whoa......... mamma wasn't on yet, silly boy'. He came back and this time I got both legs over. And OMG what he did next, brought me to tears, my most special boy... I got on and I was sitting on him. And he reached around and physically bumped my left foot, then very intentionally reached around and bumped my right foot. His little pre-ride checklist. He walked off and I got off after just a few seconds and he brought me back to the mounting block and again securely and squarely planted his feet. And he's only 3!!!! You can't train that into him, that's just who he is! I LOVE him to the moon and back. Words can't describe how much I love him and how happy I am that he's happy! His thoughtful breeding and the gentle nature of Beau has produced this happy, super CURIOUS, loving, kind, and gorgeous guy! In my mind I thank you every day for selling him to me. He is beyond loved!!!!”

This past weekend we sent our sweet Gwen off to her new home in New York ♥️ congrats to Cheryl and Caitlin on the purchase of this fantastic filly! Thank you for all the updates and for ensuring she gets settled in well, feeling right at home in her new pasture! We’re excited to watch her flourish at your farm!

Baby #2 is here and it’s a c**t 💙💙 Maxine and Beau sure put the splash on this boy! Man is he flashy! This is definitely the loudest colored foal we’ve had born here 😍🤩 Baby is doing great, mama is doing great, and we can’t wait to watch this guy unfold! Welcome to the world little man!

Happy 10th Birthday to our sweet Maxxy girl!

This problem child recently came down with an infection in her lungs (the timing made worse by being in such a late stage in her pregnancy), but she’s turned a corner, eating well again, and putting some pounds back on before baby arrives! She sure loves to be our high maintenance girl 😅 praying for a smooth delivery and a healthy foal here in the next few weeks ♥️

Baby boy is here! Penelope had a perfect little red tobiano c**t around 1 this morning! Even though I specifically remember putting in an order for a red tobi filly, I can’t be too mad at Penelope for this one. He’s a stunner 🤩 At least she got my order half right!

A huge thank you to Abby Taylor for helping us make this c**t a reality! She put in so much work and took such amazing care of Penelope while she was away from home to be bred last year. We are so grateful for you ♥️

And thank you, Ana Trainers, for letting us breed our girl to the fantastic Rev! His legacy will live on in his c**ts ♥️

I’m putting all my money on tonight being the night! The last piece of the puzzle is in place, that milk looks finally ready!

Are we having a baby tonight? Tomorrow? Penelope’s pH has bottomed out, milk is cloudy (though not as white and opaque as it should be, but this could change pretty quickly), bag is full as can be… maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow, but I’d be shocked if she makes it to Friday. Again though, watch her prove me wrong 😅

Penelope is making slow and steady progress getting closer to foaling. Her milk hasn’t started changing color or opacity yet, but pH is slowly dropping. I expect her to foal sometime in the next 3 days, but she’s her own girl and likes to prove me wrong!

Milk testing for Penelope has begun! Her pH is high, as expected, so we will test again in another day or two!
