Fury baseball would like to thank Tulsa Drillers Baseball and McElroy manufacturing for hosting the team tonight. They looked sharp in their new fall uniforms from No Pressure Sports and hats fresh off the press from the official hat of team Tyler Sideline Stitches.

Tonight is about more than just playing a scrimmage it’s about getting better, competing, and growing together.

The Fury Showdown gives our players a chance to compete against each other, learn how to handle pressure, and put everything we’ve been working on into game situations. Iron sharpens iron, and we believe competing against our own teammates will only make both Fury teams stronger when the season begins.

We’re looking forward to seeing the energy, effort, and competitiveness these boys bring tonight. At the end of the day, we’re all ONE FURY FAMILY with the same goal: develop our players, build confidence, and prepare them to compete at a high level.

What do you do when you’re not coaching? I love to work and spend time with family and friends and going on drives at night.

What’s your favorite hobby? I love to golf with my brother in law and his family been golfing for 7 years and have enjoyed it ever since.

What’s your dream vacation? Going to Hawaii and learning how to surf

What do you do when you’re not coaching?
Typically, we are still playing or practicing somewhere. I have been blessed with two kids that share my love of the game. It’s really good bonding time for the whole family.

What’s your favorite hobby?
I love playing golf. I played since I was 7 years old and lost interest in it after kids but have picked it back up and I love it again. Also love to antique shop for old baseball collectibles. We have some really old gloves, cleats and cards.

Favorite food?
That’s a tough one. I am a food connoisseur and tend to look for really obscure places with food that is a little different than the normal. I would say my favorite is Mediterranean or Indian.

Favorite movie or TV show?
Favorite movie is probably Bull Durham or Tin Cup…Guess I have a thing for Kevin Costner?

Favorite music artist or genre?
Give me all the 90’s country or 2000 rap music.

Do you have any pets?
We have two dogs. We have a Dachshund named Orbit and a Golden Doodle named Odie.

What’s your dream vacation?
We took it for my 40th bday. In five days we went to Orioles stadium, Yankees stadium, Baseball Hall Of Fame and Red Sox stadium. It was a trip none of us will ever forget.

Coffee or energy drinks?
Don’t really do either, I am pretty high energy most of the time and adding anything to it is a recipe for disaster. I may drink some Dr. Pepper on occasion like a true Okie though.

What’s one fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
I’m a pretty open book and love to talk so I don’t know anything too crazy. I enjoy playing video games on occasion. Typically when the new MLB the Show comes out me and Nolan will play it a bunch at night.
