CONGRATULATIONS to Lindsey T and Emily K for making it to IEA ZONE 2 Finals, hosted at the renowned Old Salem Farm! They competed amongst the top 15 competitors in their divisions across New York! Emily K had a strong round in Future Novice on the Flat riding “Jugo”. Lindsey T drew Saucony the first JV Beginner on the Flat heat, and then again for her callback round. She finished the day 4th amongst her competitors! We’d also like to thank their teammates (Isabel M, Lily S, Shayna K, Louise M, and Elise M) who came up to support them and help with the competition both Saturday & Sunday! We are very proud of our riders for their performance this past weekend!

to Regional Finals and looking forward to Zone 2 Finals this weekend at Old Salem Farm with Lindsey T and Emily K competing amongst some of the top riders across New York for a chance to go to IEA Nationals at Harrisburg!

After a fantastic season, our qualifying individuals and both qualifying teams, traveled to Long Island for Zone 2 Region 7 Finals! Upper school riders competed Saturday and middle school riders competed Sunday.

Individual Riders:
• Junko A finished 8th in JV Beginner WTC.
• Emily Ka was called back and received 3rd in JV Beginner WTC.
• Emily Ko was 4th over fences and 3rd on the flat in the Future Novice division.
• Shayna K finished 6th on the flat in JV Novice Flat.
• Elise M placed 7th over fences and 6th flat in the final heat in the Varsity Intermediate division.
• Michelle S was called back and placed 5th in Future Beginner WTC.
• Lindsey T was called back and placed 2nd in JV Beginner WTC.
• Hannah W placed 5th over fences in JV Novice.
• Alice W placed 8th in JV Novice.
• Alexa L and Gabriela V also competed and performed well in their final classes of the season.

The Upper School Team finished 4th overall with the following riders competing for the team:
• Varsity Open Fences – Isabel M – 5th
• Varsity Open Flat – Isabel M – 7th
• Varsity Intermediate Fences – Alice W 5th
• Varsity Intermediate Flat – Elise M – 6th
• JV Novice Fences – Gabriela V – 7th
• JV Novice Flat – Shayna K – 3rd
• JV Beginner WTC – Emily K – 1st

The Upper School Team finished 7th overall with the following riders competing for the team:
• Future Novice Fences – Emily Ko – 4th
• Future Novice Flat – Emily Ko – 5rd
• Future Beginner WTC – Jake B – 5rd

The top two teams and riders move forward to Zone 2 Finals! Amongst a very competitive and respectable field of riders throughout the weekend, we’d like to give an extra congratulations to Lindsey T, who will be moving on to Zone 2 Finals next month! We’d also like to thank Louise M who came to support and assist her teammates on Saturday. Isabel M came out both days to support and assist her teammates and was honored with the Sportsmanship Award for the weekend!

Congratulations to all of our riders! Thank you to Sagamore Hill for hosting another great regional finals and to all of the sponsors they worked with to provide great prizes for our riders! Onto Zone 2 Finals!

Congratulations to our riders on a stellar performance at the Essex “Luau” IEA Show this past weekend! Jake B led off our middle schoolers with a 2nd in his trot class on Happy and a 4th in his canter class on Benny. Sara H was 6th in her trot class on Sandy and 3rd in her canter class on Miles. Isabel M had a phenomenal return to the show ring with a 1st over fences in the first class of the day on Sydney and a 2nd on the flat on Nikon! Alice W rode Star to two 3rd place finishes on the flat and over fences, earning her a spot at regional finals! Lindsey T closed out the day for the upper school team with a 1st in her trot class and a 3rd in her canter class, allowing her to point out into cross rails! Out of a field of 11 teams, our upper school brought home the Reserve Champion High Point Team ribbon! It was a great start to 2019 for our team! Thank you to Essex and all of the horse providers for a great show!

IEA Show – Last weekend our IEA teams competed at the Wildwood-Goldcoast IEA Show, bringing home a Reserve Champion finish for our Middle School and third place for our Upper School! -
- In the Varsity Intermediate division, Alice W was 2nd over fencs and 3rd on the flat and Annie K was 4th on the flat.
- In the JV Novice division, Shayna K was 1st on the flat, Steph M was 5th over fences and 1st on the flat, Lily S was 2nd in her flat class.
- In JV Beginner on the Flat, Lindsey T won her canter class!
- In the Future Novice division, Emily K placed 4th over fences and in her flat class.
- In Future Beginner on the Flat, Alexa L placed 6th and Michelle S placed 1st in their canter class.
Thanks to these great ribboning trips, Lindsey T qualified for regional finals, Lily S and Shayna K pointed out of JV Novice Fences, and Michelle S pointed out of Future Beginner on the Flat! Congratulations to all of our riders! Thank you to Wildwood-Goldcoast for hosting a great show!
