Your Program needs to be a solution to a problem.
The problem needs to be clear so the solution can be clear.
Ex:
I need to jump higher.
I need to run faster.
I need to get rid of knee pain.
I need to gain weight and strength.
Etc.
Too often athletes do one of two thighs. 1st, they skip steps when thinking about what exercises to pick and how to work out.
2nd there is no clear goal and they are not focused on achieving that goal, rather the focus is on the difficulty of the workout or the exercises they are performing.
If you identify a problem clearly, you can more easily come up with a solution.
If you do not have this thought process then there is a good chance your workouts will end up being a waste of time, or do more harm then good.
Key Point:
Working out should enhance performance.
If your workouts do not improve your performance then why are you doing them and what are they actually doing for you?
