The Eliot Recreation Center at 133 Eliot Street, home to the Recreation Administrative offices, will be closed beginning September 3rd through the end of the year to undergo an internal renovation. To ensure public safety and allow contractors to work efficiently, the building will be fully closed during construction. 

Recreation Department Administrative offices will relocate to the Brookline Environmental Education Center (BEEC) located at 652 Hammond Street for the duration of renovations. Rec Administration offices at BEEC will be open Monday through Thursday, 9:00am - 5:00pm and by appointment only on Fridays. Please call 617-730-2069 to make an appointment if in person services are needed. All registration and reservations remain available online at BrooklineRec.com and staff contacts can be found on the Recreation Directory webpage.

What You Need to Know
* Facility Closure: The building is closed to the public for the duration of the project.
* Restroom Access: Indoor public restrooms are unavailable, but portable units have been placed on-site for public use.
* Parks & Playgrounds: Access to the playgrounds and playing fields at Warren Park remains completely open and uninterrupted.
* Program Relocation: All programs scheduled at the Eliot Center are being relocated. Impacted families will be notified directly with new location details. If the alternative location does not work for your family, a full refund will be provided.

Project Overview & Funding
Made possible by FY26 Capital Improvement Project funding, these internal updates build upon recent exterior improvements, including the recent replacement of the building’s roof and ground-level classroom. This renovation will include the construction of a proper meeting/conference room, updates to the four staff and public restrooms, and general updates to office furniture, technology, electrical, carpet, and paint.

✨ The perfect way to wrap up our 2026 Summer Concert Series! ✨

Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys brought the perfect energy to our final concert of the summer, filling the evening with dancing, singing, laughter, and so much community fun for all ages! 🎶💃

A special thank you to Wegmans in Chestnut Hill for their generous support and sponsorship of our final concert!

We would also like to thank everyone who came out and joined us throughout our six-week concert series. We are so grateful to have spent the summer making memories together and celebrating the power of music and community.

While our Summer Concert Series may be over, we’re already looking forward to filling the evenings with music, fun, and community again next summer! Until then, thank you for making this summer one to remember! ☀️🎶✨

Summer nights are better with live music! ☀️🎹

The Love Dogs brought the energy to Fisher Hill last week for our final concert at this location. They filled the evening with great music and plenty of dancing!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to share the love of music! We are especially grateful to The Newbury of Brookline, our premier sponsor of the series, for making these concerts possible and to Mothers Out Front for joining us. It was great to see you both connecting with the community!

Join us in welcoming The Love Dogs tonight @ Fisher Hill Reservoir Park!🎶

Based out of Boston, this hard swinging septet just celebrated its 20th year wowing audiences and critics alike with their combination of great musicianship and pure fun. The Dogs combine elements of jump blues, New Orleans R&B and early rock 'n' roll into their own powerhouse sound.

Bring your friends, family, neighbors, blankets, and chairs! We look forward to seeing everyone on this beautiful summer evening!
