Last competition of the season. Most regrets don’t come from what we did. They come from what we didn’t do. I don’t want fear to stop me from living and experiencing these moments.

Out of all the competitions the last few years, this one feels like a new beginning , a breakthrough.

Wasn’t the result I wanted, but there were small wins happening inside and outside that ring today. I want to remember this one.

Appreciate my coaches, mentors and teammates. I appreciate the conversations, mentorship and friendships developed over this season. Competition at this age is more than just winning medals 🏅

Looking forward to 2026.

Making memories this weekend.

Traveled to Detroit Michigan to watch my friend Patricia Smith earn her black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu.

Although many say age is just a number, I assure you earning your BJJ black at the age of 70 is an inspiration to any and all practitioners.

The practice of BJJ can be extremely mentally and physically challenging.

She has competed for years, trained and traveled extensively to learn.

Thank you Warriors Way Martial Arts for an incredible day and seminar.

Happy 11th Birthday to my baby boy. 🎂🥳

A little family celebration followed by some time together.

Words cannot express how proud I am of him.

He’s warm hearted, funny, responsible, loves his football and sports 🏈💙🙏

Most times the first step into something new is the hardest. I am learning much about myself in this process.

I am blessed to have the health and willpower to still compete.

The ladies in my division were fantastic inside and outside of the ring. Great souls.

Purple belt – feels like I’m just beginning.

I am incredibly grateful to my team at and I’m especially grateful for and everything she’s done for me.

Princeton BJJ pursues a mission that goes beyond achieving gold medals and earning new belts.

There’s a a safe community here where people can grow and express themselves through the practice of BJJ.

This is just the beginning of a long journey filled with friendships and memories on and off the mats.

I’ll be at the gym training at 8:30 am tomorrow. I have some competitive goals to hit. Feel free to join me...
