Former Leicester City Winger Abdul Fatawu has joined Ipswich Town.

Abdul, 22, joins Town for an undisclosed fee and has signed a five-year contract, through to the summer of 2031.

The attacker featured in all four of Ghana’s games at this summer’s FIFA World Cup, including against England in the group stage, and has won a total of 32 caps for his country, scoring three goals.

During his career he has played in the Champions League during his time with Sporting in Portugal and has been promoted to and featured in the Premier League with Leicester, before scoring nine goals in 44 appearances for the Foxes during 2025/26.

After signing for Town, he will join up with his new teammates at the Blues’ Spanish training camp in La Manga this week.

The Chapter is finally closed, It's official, Former Leicester City Forward Patson Daka has joined Germany Bundesliga side Hamburger SV.

Daka who was unveiled today joins Die Rothosen as free agent.

Patson Daka is amongst the 10 Men’s First Team players who will depart upon the expiration of their contracts this summer.

Following confirmation of Leicester City’s relegation to League One, Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has issued the following statement:

To our fans,

Relegation to League One is now confirmed. As Chairman, that responsibility sits with me. There are no excuses.

We have experienced the highest highs and now the lowest lows, and the pain is shared by all of us. I am truly sorry for the disappointment we have caused. I understand the strength of feeling among our supporters, and we do not take your support for granted, especially at moments like this.

Our focus now is on what comes next. We will take the necessary decisions to move the Club forward, working together to rebuild, improve, and restore the standards expected of Leicester City. Our objective is clear – to respond strongly and compete to move this Club forward again.
