with death comes rebirth …
if you’ve known me for a while now, you know that my entire sense of self has shifted drastically.
i’ve been shedding my old sense of self for what feels like forever now.
& while it’s been one of the most empowering feelings ever, it’s also been one of the most difficult.
what’s kept me from slipping backwards into comfort & the known?
detachment + surrender.
detachment from knowing what the outcome will be, & surrendering to the universe & my ancestors.
stop trying to know it all & stop trying to control it all.
above all things, know thyself.

These pics are actually fake news because I have no plans on gyming today! 🥴
This entire week I’ve been feeling super low energy.😕
(It’s been so cloudy & rainy here in NYC so I’m sure that’s not helping 🙃)
I hit the gym yesterday and it was literally the most unenjoyable workout I’ve had in a REALLY long time. 👎🏽 0/10 would not recommend lol
So I’m thinking I’m gonna chill on the gym for the rest of the week because that’s what my body is asking for.
Just a reminder to listen to your body, always.
Stop making fitness all or nothing. It’s okay to rest & recharge & it’s okay to not feel motivated!
Find balance between fitness & rest. Masculine & feminine. That’s where this fitness lifestyle becomes a breeze.☯️
