I continually find myself using this exercise as both a strength movement and an assessment tool. It’s great on its own, but it’s also a fantastic teacher of what a correct squat movement should feel like. Most people should master this before they worry about the barbell.

Simple and effective.
The drills are valuable for all levels. The key is intent. Keep each rep crisp and max effort.
Keep the reps low (5~), the effort high, & plenty of rest between sets.
You don't have to choose.
Explosive grappling actions, throws, scrambles, and sprawls demand hamstrings that can hold up at length and speed.
Standard hamstring work is a must, but we also need to train these positions dynamically, with different loads and intent to prepare for sport demands.
This is one way to do that.
