What a weekend for BBFC at the Durkan Regional Showcase (May 2-3, 2026)!

Our fencers showed up and showed out:

🥇 Genevieve Murphy - 1st place, Cadet Women’s Foil (earned a B26 rating!)
🥉 Annika Krahe - 3rd place, Cadet Women’s Foil
🥉 Annika Krahe - 3rd place, Junior Women’s Foil
⚔️ Isla Stewart - Top-8, Cadet Women’s Foil (earned a D26 rating!)
⚔️ Genevieve Murphy - 6th place, Junior Women’s Foil

A gold medal, two bronzes, a Top-8 finish, new ratings, and points earned. These results are a direct reflection of how hard our athletes are working to implement the BBFC system of fencing. Trust the process. Put in the reps. Show up on the strip. 💪

BBFC fencers had a fantastic showing at the Empire United Youth Foil Series, with podium finishes across multiple age groups. Congratulations to all our medalists and competitors!

Congratulations to all the competitors and medalists in our second In-House Beginner Class Tournament of the season!

The tournament brought great energy to the club, featuring two events: Y8 and Y12 Mixed Foil. There were plenty of smiles, a few tears, and a lot of proud moments as some of our youngest fencers stepped onto the strip to experience competition for the first time. The event provided a supportive, low-pressure environment for fencers to test their skills, build confidence, and take an important step forward in their development.
