👋 everyone! Before I post on Rover, I wanted to check in to gauge interest from any member here. We have a family emergency that just came up, and we have to leave the city tomorrow (June 17th) morning through Sunday (June 20th) evening. We are looking to see if anybody would be willing to dog sit for us! You have likely seen Penn outside the gym with our 3 year old when my Wife and I swap out at classes. He is very chill and laidback, and doesn’t require much work (besides a few walks a day, food, and medicines). In fact, he just turned 10 today and he’s a very lazy dog!

If you’re interested, we are ok to drop him off with you or you are also more than welcome to stay at our apartment (on Conselyea between Lorimer and Union…less than 10 mins walk to the box!) for the entire time period. We have a guest room and a small private backyard for you to enjoy!

Please DM or text me (610-618-6666) if you’re interested, or if you know of someone you trust that would be willing to dog sit.

So, why not join us to celebrate together this Friday March 11th at the Virtuosity gym from 5:30pm, and urge on your fellow athletes as they attempt to smash 22.3!!

From there, we will head over to @spritzenhaus33 for 8pm for some craft beers and good times 😊😂

Meet The Coaches ⭐️

Sebastiano started his CrossFit journey 7 years ago, after moving to New York from Italy. He got his Level 1 Certificate in 2020 and splits his coaching hours between CrossFit Gantry in Long Island City and CrossFit Virtuosity in Williamsburg. 🏋️‍♂️

Most of the time you can see him accompanied by his dog Giacomo. 🐶

When he is not hanging from a rig he works as a Real Estate Agent and Marketing Specialist. 🏠

His favorite workouts feature rope climbs, kettlebell swings, and Olympic Weightlifting. At the top of the list are benchmark WOD Hellen and Hero WOD Sisson.

Coach Jamie is the most recent addition to CrossFit Virtuosity family. A Level 1 & CrossFit Virtuosity training graduate, Jamie has been involved in sports & exercise from a young age. From qualifying as a physiotherapist, to tackling Ironman triathlons across the globe, Jamie has always loved the idea of constantly varying his exercise routines, and that’s where his love for CrossFit began 🏋️‍♂️

Our first Irish coach 🇮🇪, Jamie is delighted to join the team and be a part of the growing CrossFit Virtuosity family. As for his favorite workout, he loves everything as long as it doesn’t have “too” many burpees 😅

Eric 💪🏼🥷🏼🤸🏻

A true polymath, Eric is a writer, baker, and ceramics aficionado in addition to accomplished athlete and engaged and enthusiastic coach.

He started CrossFit while pursuing a masters degree in fiction writing, and he strives to bring the same imaginative, engaging, and detail-oriented approach to his coaching. He especially loves seeing athletes surprise themselves and surpass milestones.

His favorite workouts are anything to do with rowing, running, and dumbbells. He’s also a total perfectionist and a glutton for punishment, and loves to spend time drilling the movements he finds most challenging!

Ariel started his CrossFit journey as a member at Virtuosity back in 2012. He quickly turned his hobby into a passion, joining Virtuosity's coaching program in 2013.

Ariel has been coaching CrossFit for 8 years and is now a lead coach and head of programming for our beloved box.

As a member of Team Virtuosity, Ariel went to the CrossFit Games in 2014, competed in Regionals in 2014 & 2017, as well as a number of national events throughout his competitive career.

He takes his wisdom from years of competition and offers helpful strategies and advice to his class to get the most out of daily training.

Taking a step further into coaching, he now offers members competition classes where they can dial up their training with more advanced high-skill work. 

Ariel specializes in working with members and clients with specific goals in mind, ranging from weight loss, strength training, gymnastics, and functional movements.

Ursula 🧑🏼‍🎓🥷🏼💪🏼🏋️‍♀️

Ursula, our coding genie 🧞‍♀️ has been coaching at Virtuosity for almost 4 years now after spending a year at the YMCA working as a floor trainer and personal trainer. Ursula’s passions include CrossFit, strength training, gymnastics, programming and learning more about how people respond to training.

Murph or Maggie are her two favorite CrossFit workouts because of the mental endurance that comes along with the difficulty of the workouts. 😈

Ursula also leads our strength classes and is a shining example of what hard work, determination, and commitment can result in 🏆

⭐️ Meet The Coaches ⭐️

Noelle 🤟🏻💪🏼🦹🏽

Noelle began her strength journey after she gave birth to twins, and found herself carrying around two increasingly heavy babies-slash-weights. Her resultant shoulder pain led her to an exploration of bodywork that (in typical Noelle no-half-measures style) became a career, turned her on to the world of physical culture in general, and eventually led her to try CrossFit with us.

In addition to being one of the most gifted bodyworkers we’ve ever had the privilege of having torture massage us, Noelle is a natural coach. She describes her coaching style as “your badass mom,” so expect some tough love!

Noelle specializes in working with older athletes, particularly women. She dreams of a world full of strong, kick-ass 40-, 50-, 60-, 70-, 80-, and 90-plus year-olds who are fully embracing their physicality and staying self-sufficient throughout their golden years!

More than anything, Noelle loves to teach her morning class team, and see the great progression they achieve under her tutelage.

⭐️ Meet The Trainers ⭐️

Coach Kait 💣💪🏼🤟🏻

Kait entered the fitness world when she became a personal trainer at Crunch Greenpoint in 2015 and has been coaching at CrossFit Virtuosity since 2019. She uses a “functional-body building” approach in her programs with her one on one clients that translates to her CrossFit classes. When working with Kait, you’ll learn how to move well and workout efficiently. She loves to take CrossFit classes herself because it allows her to surround herself with the community and learn from the other coaches. Some of her favorite workouts include anything with DB snatches, pull-ups, toes-to-bar, and Oly lifts.
