Wyatt finished his sophomore season with a bang, running 17:43.7, an 11 second PR, and placing 94th out of 246 runners!

Great day at Wagener Park!
Sophomore Wyatt Blohm punched his ticket to the State Finals by placing 10th in the region, running a big PR of 17:54! He is the first Vassar boy to qualify for the state meet since 2013!
The boys placed 9th as a team, with John Adams (19:52) and Jacob Kreiner (22:51) beating their previous personal bests as well.
Senior Lexi Fabbro ran her last cross country race as a Vulcan. Thank you for your contribution to the Vassar XC program! The 3x GTC/BTC All-Conference runner defied the odds and finished her senior season strong. Your positive energy, work ethic, and determination will be sorely missed! Look out for her on the track 👀
The MHSAA State Finals will take place next Saturday, November 1st, at Michigan International Speedway!

Today is the Big Thumb Conference Championship! Before we run our first championship meet of the season, we would like to highlight the progress our runners have made throughout the season!

Lastly, Senior Alexis Fabbro faced a major setback this summer after surgery, unsure if she’d be able to run her final cross country season. Thanks to her hard work and quick recovery, Alexis returned to running on October 1 and will compete in the final meets of the season. Her perseverance is an inspiration to the team!
