2 years old today.
Since last May we welcomed our Kentucky boy into the family. Our adopted son quickly acclimated to the city life, but we get him back into nature daily.

It was a great time for Park Slope Academy with Professor Bernardo Faria.
We often cite his details and coaching from our time with him many years ago. We were happy a group of 61 attendees had the opportunity to experience it. It went by too fast.

2° Six years as a black belt training/teaching brings you to your second degree. Congrats to @adami_bjj who was a few months overdue, and tonight we were both able to be awarded our degrees by our coach Professor Fabio Clemente. @teamfabioclemente the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in NYC, the pioneers of the sport, have been rocking on the eve of their 30th year. This unbelievable accomplishment is something that we at Park Slope hope to one day replicate. Thank you to the entire team, coaches, training partners, and friends. A few more still shots from last night seminar. is a place where truly anyone can learn martial arts. It was awesome to see the great mix of students, ages, and abilities. By the end we were nailing some X-Guard entries. Many thanks to for having me out. He gave me my first opportunity to do warmups, intros and then to teach martial arts many moons ago. And now even though we aren't in the same state anymore he continues to give me the opportunity to learn and grow through teaching.
