I love the spirit of competing and giving my all to something that gives back. This picture does not tell the whole story. I’m about to go Box a cow and in my mind I’m telling myself I’m going to beat this cow up. It doesn’t have a chance getting by my horse and I. We’ve been training, I have a plan and now I’m about to execute! I love how she feels my energy and raise her energy along with me. I have the same approach in life. My wife and son can tell you that everyday I always say they aren’t any sissy’s in this house!! If and when life hits we hit harder. We don’t talk and elevate the problem we elevate how BIG our GOD is and he will walk with us through anything we ask him and defeat any problem. Warrior Mentality!

His future is so bright, he’s gotta wear his shades. 😎
And watching him chase those rodeo dreams with humility, grit, and faith makes it even sweeter. The big stage may be ahead of him, but the Lord is already ordering every step for His good. What a blessing it is to watch this young man grow into exactly who God created him to be. Sitting 1st in Team Roping and 7th in Tie Down Still has another round to go in both. No Mercy in the next 2 rounds Brady J!

What a blessing to be on my horse since 5:00am this morning preparing to show my horse in Ft Worth. I love competing in these arenas and I know the competition will push me. I’m happy with my runs and looking forward for tomorrow.

I’ve been attending horse shows and placing but want more. I was blessed a few weeks ago to win one of my classes but as always want more. Just the competitive nature in me.
I had the opportunity this weekend to attend a working cowhorse clinic with Mark Mills, who brings over 30 years of experience to the arena. It was a strong reminder that success in this event comes down to the details—horsemanship, timing, and commitment to getting better every ride.
One of the biggest takeaways for me was learning to better read a cow, trust the process, and remember that sometimes you have to go slow to be fast. Just as important was the focus on the mental mindset it takes to compete with intention and prepare to win.
Grateful for the knowledge shared and the chance to keep sharpening both my horse and myself. Looking forward to putting these lessons to work and continuing to improve every time I step in the pen. 🐎🔥

Morning
Proverbs 21:31
The Horse is prepared for the day battle, But the victory belongs to the Lord.
We should prepare, plan, work but ultimately the final outcome of anything is determined by God!
Have a blessed day.
I’m blessed I get to show and ride my horse today!!

Vegas heard that we're hosting another girls' night at our place, and he wants to join us. If you're thinking, "How do horses build confidence in young girls?" let me give you a little snippet of what I'll be sharing with them.
Throughout the Bible, horses symbolize strength, power, readiness, and courage. But Scripture reminds us that our confidence doesn't come from the horse itself, but from God, who gives us strength. Horses don't follow insecurity; they follow leadership. Leadership starts with knowing your worth. As each girl takes a turn riding Vegas, they'll be reminded that if you can lead a 1,000-pound horse, you can lead your own life. You will not water yourself down to be accepted. What God gave you is enough. If you have a student-age daughter, granddaughter, or niece in junior high or high school, this Friday night is our "Girl, You Are Enough" event. It starts at 6:00-8:30 at Frank Ranch, 2637 Poskey Road, Anahuac, TX 77514. RSVP at 713-594-3098.
