All: On May 2nd A Grateful Denny Dorrel Presents: The Dual on the Hill. This event will be a fund raiser to support FC Athletics and FC 4H. The main event will be the World Famous Howl at the Moon Dueling Pianos! Fried chicken dinner from the American Legion and Coney's from Skyline will be provided. There will be drawings and raffles all night. Event starts at 6PM. Presale tickets are $50 a person and can be bought at room 229 at the high school. Or at the door for $60 a person. All proceeds will go back to both programs.

As a lot of you know Denny's heart lies in FC Athletics and FC 4H. That rigs true for several of our wrestlers and coaches. Come out and enjoy a great evening of fun and music.

Anthony Cox took 8th in a 64 man bracket this weekend and Frosh-Soph state. He wrestled some of the best underclassmen in Indiana. Great job Anthony. Also wrestling for FC was Colton Seals. Colton had a great day Saturday but fell short of advancing to placement today.

Anthony Cox advances to the second day and placement in Frosh-Soph state. He is a top eight underclassmen in his weight class. Wrestling starts again tomorrow at 9am at the Southport Field house.

Last but certainly not least is Junior Isabella McEwen-Merrett. In her second year she has grown beyond my expectation. she is a hard charger and a ball of energy on the mat. In the classroom she is focused and uncompromising. She continues to grow in and around this sport. Izzy earned 1st team All-State bids from both the IHSWCA and IHSGWCA. Congratulations!

Next up is for a womens team is Junior Captain Sage Leising. Sage has battled back from injury that kept her out of her 8th grade and 9th grade years of wrestling after taken 8th in 7th grade at Middle school state. She comes in the room with drive and purpose and carries it over to the classroom. sage earned 1st team All-State honors from IHSWCA and IHSGWCA. Congratulations!

Next up is Lilyanna Nichols. Lily is a first year wrestler and has grown in the sport in a short time. She gives the team all she has every time she steps on the mat. Her drive in the classroom shows through her actions. She has earned 1st team honors from both IHSWCA and IHSGWCA. Congratulations!

Next up is Junior Sophiea McCollum. Soph is a first year wrestler trying out a new sport and boy did she find a good fit. She works hard in the room and soaks up every word the coaches and team mates tell her. Her drive carries over to the classroom as she earned 1st team All-State from Both IHSWCA and IHSGWCA. Congratulations!
