Our Lady Cats C-Team traveled to Triton Central Thursday evening to take on their Lady Tigers. Triton Central has an incredibly talented and aggressive team. Earlier in the season they beat us 62-34 in which they hit 10 three pointers to seal their victory. However, they weren’t expecting our Lady Cats to become the strong team that we have become. Last night was both the Lady Cats & the Lady Tigers last game of the season and our Lady Cats came out ready to slay some Tigers. Straight from the jump our girls were aggressive and on fire. Our full court press was more than the Lady Tigers could handle and they continued to turn the ball over time after time. Offensively all of our Lady Cats were driving the ball and moving the ball better than they ever have. Most of our players even broke their personal best records for scoring last night as well. Our Lady Cats left it all on the court taking the huge win 68-43. Scoring for the Lady Cats was Elena Miguel with 19 pts, Liv Maddock with 15 pts, Raegan Minniti with 13 pts, Lila French & Kenzie Broshear with 8 pts, and Jaelyn Grimmeissen with 5 pts. The Lady Cats C-Team ended their season 10-6.

“I’m so incredibly proud of these girls and how hard they fight every game until the very last buzzer. Many schools do not have C-teams this year. So our season this year has been filled with very competitive JV teams. Many of these JV teams even playing varsity players. That didn’t intimidate our girls though. They always show up putting in the work to become the players they are becoming. I couldn’t be prouder of them! I look forward to seeing each of them grow as players and young ladies.”-Coach Dudley

Saturday afternoon our Lady Cats C-Team traveled to Union County to take on their Lady Patriots following a home game victory against Bishop Chatard. Despite our best efforts our Lady Cats were just exhausted and couldn’t compete with the Lady Patriots and fell 20-32. “Our girls really wanted to give it their all, but just had nothing left. We turned over the ball and missed many shots. We have been playing JV teams most of this season and I have seen this team progress tremendously and feel today just wasn’t our day. We will take this loss and come out stronger and ready to dominate for our last game of the season against Triton Central.”-Coach Dudley. Scoring for the Lady Cats was Elena Miguel with 13 pts, and Kenzie Broshear with 7 pts. The Lady Cats C-Team will next be in action Thursday evening at Triton Central for our last game of the season. Tip off will be at 6:00pm.

Our Lady Cats C-Team traveled to Randolph Southern to take on Wi******er’s Lady Falcon JV team. Coming off of our last win this past Monday against Centerville, we came out ready to play some aggressive ball. The Lady Cats put up some really big shots in the first half with Elena dominating the lane and Liv killing the 3 pt line. We dominated the first half ending it 21-9. The 2nd half we made some errors turning the ball over and falling short on some shots. However, we pulled out the win 27-19. Scoring for the Lady Cats was Elena Miguel with 14 pts, Liv Maddock with 11 pts, and Lila French with 2 pts. The Lady Cats C-Team will next be in action at Union County against the Lady Pirates this Saturday with tip-off at 4:45pm.
