We want to recognize someone who has been every bit as important to our basketball program as the players on the court.
Over the last four years, Marissa Casarez, our student manager has dedicated countless hours, sacrificed her time, and poured tremendous effort into helping our program succeed. She began her journey with us as a freshman, working with the freshman team, and over the years she grew alongside this senior class, becoming an invaluable part of our basketball family.
The work of a student manager often happens behind the scenes, but her impact was felt every single day. Whether it was helping run the concession stand, tracking stats, helping clean uniforms, organizing equipment, picking up team meal orders on road trips, recording content for social media, or simply stepping in wherever help was needed, she was always willing to do whatever was asked of her and more.
Many of the things we accomplished as a program would not have been possible without her dedication, reliability, and selfless commitment. She never sought recognition, but she certainly deserves it.
We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for Rivera Basketball. More importantly, we are proud of the young woman she has become. We hope her experiences at Rivera and with our basketball program have helped prepare her for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
Thank you for four years of service, commitment, and loyalty to Raider Basketball. You will always be a part of our program, and we wish you nothing but success in your next chapter.

The boys clean up pretty well.
From the playoff court to the graduation stage, we couldn't be more proud of this group of young men. This year, we achieved something truly special β 100% of our seniors graduated.
That accomplishment speaks volumes about their character, perseverance, and commitment both on and off the court. So much of what we were able to accomplish as a program was because of the effort, hard work, dedication, and never-quit attitude of these eight seniors. They helped set the standard, built the culture, and left our program better than they found it.
While their time as Raiders has come to an end, they will always be a part of our family. We are grateful for the memories, the sacrifices, and the legacy they leave behind.
We hope you'll stop by from time to time, keep in touch, and know that you'll always have a place here. We'll be cheering for you as you begin the next chapter of your journey.
Congratulations, . Raider Nation is proud of you.

Congratulations, Logan Hinojosa!
The Rivera Raider Boys Basketball family is proud to recognize Logan Hinojosa on being selected as a recipient of the prestigious SpaceX Scholarship, earning $10,000 toward his future educational goals.
Logan was an important part of our team's success a season ago, helping the Raiders earn a trip to the state playoffs through his hard work and dedication both on and off the court. Now, he is continuing to open doors for himself through academic excellence.
As a student-athlete, Logan has represented Raider Nation with pride, and we are excited to see what the future holds for him.
Keep reaching for the stars, Logan. The entire Raider community is behind you and wishing you nothing but success in your next chapter.
Best of luck, and congratulations on this outstanding achievement! π

Today we recognize and celebrate the retirement of Coach Willie Brown, our first assistant Basketball Coach on staff, after an incredible 42 years in education and coaching, including more than 30 years in Brownsville ISD.
Coach Brownβs career included stops at Huntsville, Mexia, Marlin, Royal, Bastrop, Porter, Hanna, and Rivera. One of the highlights of his legendary career came in 1991 when he led Marlin Track & Field to a UIL State Championship.
Throughout his career, Coach Brown coached basketball, football, track, baseball, and softball while also teaching multiple science subjects in the classroom. He retires as a TEA-designated Master Teacher, the highest designation possible for a Texas public school teacher.

What a great weekend of hoops.
A huge thank you to Coach Darren Bedford and team at RGV TopGun Basketball, along with all the players, coaches, fans, and families who joined us throughout the weekend. Your support and energy helped make this event a tremendous success.
Special thanks to all of our sponsors for their time, effort, and generous monetary donations. Without your support, much of this tournament would not have been possible.
With 76 teams participating, this was the biggest tournament in our area in recent memory. Over 1,600 people β including players, coaches, parents, and referees β were welcomed and hosted at our three-court facility at Brownsville Rivera High School.
The concession stand was on fire all weekend, and none of it would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the Rivera Boys Basketball coaching staff, their spouses, families, current players, and our incredible team moms.
Thank you all for helping create a special weekend for our community and student-athletes.
