Today, the owners of VAAS Soccer Academy met with Tiburones Mata FC owner, Coach Lalo Mata, for an open and positive conversation focused on moving forward and leaving past differences behind.
Competition is an important part of soccer, but rivalry should never become division. We can represent different clubs, defend different colors, and compete with intensity while still maintaining mutual respect and a healthy relationship off the field.
As leaders in youth soccer, we share a responsibility that goes beyond wins and losses. Our role is to create the best possible environment for young players to develop, enjoy the game, build friendships, and learn the values that make this sport special.
This meeting represents the beginning of a new chapter between both academies, one built on communication, sportsmanship, and a shared commitment to helping youth soccer in our community continue to grow.
We sincerely thank Coach Lalo Mata for accepting our invitation and for the openness, respect, and great attitude he brought to the conversation.
Today, we move forward with a clear purpose and a stronger understanding between both organizations.
