Great weekend of baseball for the Brunswick Jr Orioles, as both the 16u O’s and the 15u O’s battled it out for the championship with the 16u’s bringing home the championship.

Semifinals: The Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U defeated Shenandoah Valley Bandits 16U 8-0 on Sunday thanks in part to six runs in the fifth inning. Noah Utterback singled, scoring two runs, an error scored two runs, Colin Pearre singled, scoring one run, and Tyler Lowery singled, scoring one run.

The 16U O’s opened the scoring in the bottom of the third thanks to two doubles. Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U first got on the board when Carson Eye doubled, scoring one run.

Alex Frye earned the win for the Orioles 16U. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one.

Lowery led the Orioles 16U with two hits in three at bats. Utterback led the Orioles 16U with two runs batted in. They went 1-for-1 on the day. The Orioles 16U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Sam Verosto had the most chances in the field with six.

Championship Game: Colin Pearre was dominant on the mound, as the starting pitcher rang up 10 strikeouts in the Orioles 16U's 8-0 victory over Brunswick Jr. Orioles 15U on Sunday. Pearre allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings while walking one.

The Orioles 16U jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Alex Frye tripled, scoring one run, Frye scored after tagging up, and Noah Utterback singled, scoring two runs.

The Orioles 16U piled up 11 hits in the game. Tyler Lowery and Frye each collected two hits for the Orioles 16U. Willie Frye and Utterback each drove in two runs for the Orioles 16U. Carson Eye also had a double.

The Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U nabbed the lead late in the game in a 5-3 victory over 16U Calvert Cutters on Sunday. The game was tied at one with the Jr Orioles batting in the bottom of the fourth when Caden Fridman induced Sam Verosto to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

The Jr Orioles pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored one run for the Jr Orioles and Alex Frye drew a walk, scoring one run.

Frye earned the win for the Jr Orioles. The pitcher lasted five and a third innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out nine. Colin Pearre threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Pearre went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Jr Orioles in hits.

The Jr Orioles nabbed the lead late in the game in a 12-4 victory over ITD 16U in the championship game of the Railroader Classic. The Jr Orioles were down 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Willie Frye drew a walk, scoring one run.

The Jr Orioles earned the victory despite allowing ITD to score four runs in the third inning.

The Jr Orioles got things moving in the first inning. Tyler Lowery drove in one when Lowery singled.

The Jr Orioles took the lead for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Dylan Harsh singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, Frye drew a walk, scoring one run, Colin Pearre grounded out, scoring one run, and Lowery singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Lowery led things off on the pitcher's mound for the Jr Orioles. The bulldog allowed six hits and four runs over five innings, striking out six.

The Jr Orioles collected nine hits. Lowery and Pearre all had multiple hits for the Jr Orioles. Pearre and Lowery each managed two hits to lead the Jr Orioles.

The Brunswick Jr Orioles 16u earned the #1 seed in the Railroader Classic at Brunswick High School. Willie Frye was an RBI machine on Saturday, driving in four on three hits to lead Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U past AYRA Athletics 15u 17-3 on Saturday. Frye drove in runs on a double in the second, a fielder's choice in the third, and a double in the third.

Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U earned the victory despite allowing AYRA Athletics 15u to score three runs in the third inning.

Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U opened up scoring in the first inning, when Jeremy Bel drew a walk, scoring one run.

Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U tallied 12 runs in the third inning. Alex Frye, Brock Harsh, Frye, Tyler Lowery, Conner Ohler, and Sam Verosto each had RBIs in the big inning.

Frye was on the pitcher's mound for Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U. The fireballer went two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out four and walking zero.

Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U tallied 13 hits. Frye, Colin Pearre, Ohler, and Verosto each managed multiple hits for Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U. Frye led Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U with three hits in four at bats.

The Orioles will play at 1:30pm tomorrow at Brunswick High School.

The Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U won their opening round game against ITD 5-2 in the Railroader Classic at Brunswick High School.

Jeremy Bel led the Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U to victory on the mound. The ace lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out three. Tyler Lowery threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Bel went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U in hits. Lowery, Colin Pearre and Connor Ohler all had an rbi for the Orioles, with Ohler also hitting a double.

The Jr Orioles are back at it again tomorrow morning at 9am against AYRA at Brunswick High School.

The Brunswick Jr Orioles 16u team had a great weekend finishing as the finalist in the Armed Forces tournament.

In their first game of the tournament they defeated the Hanover Rampage 15-1. Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U knocked in 11 runs in the first on its way to a 15-1 victory over Hanover Rampage 16U on Saturday. The offensive firepower by the Jr Orioles 16U was led by Alex Frye, Willie Frye, CJ Ohler, Sam Verosto, Colin Pearre, and Jeremy Bel, who each had RBIs in the inning.

The Jr Orioles 16U fired up the offense in the first inning, when Frye singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Bel toed the rubber for the Jr Orioles 16U. The bulldog lasted one inning, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero.

The Jr Orioles 16U tallied 16 hits on the day. J Ricketts, Pearre, Frye, and Noah Utterback each had multiple hits for the Jr Orioles 16U. Utterback, Frye, Pearre, and Ricketts each collected two hits to lead the Jr Orioles 16U.

In the 2nd game of pool play the Jr Orioles cruised to an easy victory over 16U Calvert Cutters 16-1 on Saturday.

The Jr Orioles 16U got things moving in the first inning. Tyler Lowery drew a walk, scoring one run.

The Jr Orioles 16U notched eight runs in the fourth inning. The Jr Orioles 16U batters contributing to the big inning included Alex Frye, Willie Frye, Lowery, Conner Ohler, Sam Verosto, and Colin Pearre, all driving in runs in the frame.

Lowery was credited with the victory for the Jr Orioles 16U. The pitcher went four innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out 11.

The Jr Orioles 16U totaled 16 hits. Frye, Lowery, Justin Ricketts, Verosto, and Frye all managed multiple hits for the Jr Orioles 16U. Frye led the Jr Orioles 16U with three hits in three at bats. The Jr Orioles 16U was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Verosto had the most chances in the field with 11.

The Jr Orioles 16U defeated Curve 16U 3-2 on Sunday thanks to a walk-off single. The game was tied at two with the Jr Orioles 16U batting in the bottom of the seventh when Brock Harsh singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. The Jr Orioles 16U pitchers struck out 11, while Noah Thomas of the Curve 16u sat down seven.

Jeremy Bel was credited with the victory for the Jr Orioles 16U. The pitcher surrendered two runs on six hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out ten. Colin Pearre threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Dylan Harsh, Noah Utterback, Harsh, Willie Frye, and Bel each collected one hit to lead the Jr Orioles 16U. The Jr Orioles 16U was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Sam Verosto made the most plays with 13.

In the championship game the Jr Orioles 16U fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 3-2 loss to ITD 16U on Sunday. ITD 16U took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. ITD 16U pitchers struck out five, while Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U sat down nine.

Colin Pearre took the loss for Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U. Pearre surrendered three runs (0 earned) on two hits over six innings, striking out nine.

Conner Ohler went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Brunswick Jr Orioles 16U in hits.

O’s EARN THE #1 SEED

It’s been a great last 2 days for the O’s. They started off Friday night with a come from behind 8-7 win against a good HCYP team.

Jakob Bailey hit a 2 run single in the bottom of the 7th inning scoring Connor Ohler and Conner Mullaney to give the O’s an 8-7 walkoff win, in the Summer Brawl Tournament at Brunswick High School.

Today the O’s squared off against the West Virginia Coyotes and pulled out an 7-5 win. Payden McDonald was 2-3, while Sam Verosto went 1-2 with 2rbi’s. Ohler started off on the mound for the O’s going 5 2/3 innings allowing 4 hits while striking out 4. Carson Eye came in to shut the door and get the save going 2/3 of an inning.

The O’s will play at 1:30 tomorrow against the winner of the Blue Ridge Titans and the White Marsh Warriors. Come out tomorrow and support the boys.
