So grateful to have another Friday with Sensei Dane in our gym again. Hopefully our judo training becomes a once a month bonus as long as Sensei can travel all the way to us.

Fundraising to send our team to participate in the Warriors of Hope charity jiujitsu tournament. All money from donations will either pay for an athlete to compete or be donated directly to the cause. Meaning 100% goes to help those in need fighting cancer. Tickets will go on sale soon and you can get them from any of our EMPIRE MMA athletes and parents.

Our team had a great weekend at NAGA Nationals! The kids broke into the top 10 finishing at #8. The adults placed 3rd in Gi and 9th overall. We only had eight competitors this year so I couldn’t be more impressed with how well we finished. Hopefully in the future we can bump our numbers up and put some pressure on the big teams to bring the title back home to EMPIRE where it belongs.

A huge shout out to Mr, Chad Blanchard at Lo-Carb Auctions for donating his 50/50 winnings last night back to our kids. Chad could have walked away with half of the $588 that we raised. Instead he paid it forward to help our kids and make sure we can send them to NAGA Nationals this summer.
