One of the best parts of consistent lessons is watching the relationship between a coach and student develop.
Olivia has been putting in the work with Cav, and over time, they've developed a pretty good understanding of each other.
Sometimes a lesson is full of instruction, corrections, and breaking things down one step at a time.
Other times, it's a few reminders, a little friendly banter and letting the student put what they've learned to work.
Today, Olivia and her new horse, Chica, are working on coming out of the box, building good habits, and getting comfortable together.
There's still plenty to learn, but that's the beauty of consistency. The lessons build on each other, confidence grows, and the relationship between coach and student becomes part of the process.
Good coaching isn't just about teaching someone what to do. It's about learning when to step in, when to encourage, and when to let them figure it out.
