Find The “Off” Switch For Your Mind. How to stop the incessant mental chatter.

I don’t know about you but sometimes I want my mind to just shut the f*ck up for a minute.
We all have it. That incessant, judge mental, often times negative, mental commentary in the head.
Knowingly or unknowingly people try numerous ways to quiet it. Alcohol, drugs, s*x, work, hobbies, television, etc..
Although these can be effective, they often come with various negative side effects. Focused exercise however, comes with almost all positive side effects.
Exercise that requires focus, brings your mind into the present moment, creating gaps between thoughts, similar to meditation.

When this occurs, stress subsides, mood improves, energy increases, the mind clears, creativity blossoms.
There’s been countless times where a solution to a problem suddenly popped into my head after yoga.
If my wife and I are arguing over some dumb s**t or yelling at the kids, we know we’re just stressed and need to exercise. Knowing this has made us a stronger couple and more patient parents.
Life is stressful. Knowing how to reduce stress, turn your mood around and at the same time improve your health is invaluable.

The most under appreciated health benefit of exercise is mental health. I don’t know what people, who don’t exercise, do to cope with the stresses of life. Oh, yeah I do…. Drink!🤪

This prone extension variation is good for what ails ya. It strengthens the entire posterior chain from neck to knees. The external arm rotation where the palms are forward, strengthens the rotator cuff and upper back muscles to prevent your shoulders from rounding forward. This a great exercise for anyone who has or wants to prevent lower & upper back pain, shoulder issues, poor posture etc… This is an endurance exercise so work on increasing the time you can hold this position. Do this as often as you can throughout the day. www.gradelfitness.net

TIs the season for hacking coughs and snotty noses. Kids get sick, as they should this time of year. It’s essential for their developing immune systems to encounter and learn how to defend against various germs. That being said, it’s Annoying! Especially when they get you sick.
Wouldn’t it be nice if you had a force field around you so you don’t get sick? Well…. You kind of do. Your immune system. Not so much a force field more like miniature body guards inside you. The cells of your immune system surround and cover the invading germs. The invader is killed inside the immune cells. Your body also releases additional body guards called antibodies, immediately upon the germs arrival. After the first exposure, the immune system will recognize the invader and defend against it.
Germs are everywhere, literally. Unless you want to avoid all human contact, you’re going to encounter them. The way to not get sick isn’t to avoid germs but to become immune to them.
