We can’t believe our 2020-2021 preseason is less than a month away, but our Bears have still been busy over the summer! Congratulations to Clara Page ’22 on being selected to the 2020 All-America Underclass Philadelphia Highlight Team! The All–America Underclass Tournament is known throughout the sport as the most prestigious high school event! The team is comprised of 23 talented lacrosse players chosen to represent the Philadelphia region at this year’s tournament to be held in Baltimore. ⚈ Congratulations to Megan Adelman ’23 for being named the 2020 Club Champion for Bala Golf Club. She shot 81/75 and claimed victory by 18 strokes in 100 degree heat! Megan is the youngest to ever win the Women’s Championship! ⚈ Congratulations to Anya Mostek ’22 for being named as a 2019-2020 NISCA Girls High School Swimming All-American in the 100 yard backstroke! All American status for swimming means you swam in the top 100 times in the entire country for that event! 👏

Earlier today, The Inter Academic Athletic League Directors of Athletics named 13 student-athletes as recipients of their annual Inter Ac AD’s awards and we are thrilled to announce that our very own, Alex Loomis '20 was recognized for her participation and leadership throughout our Athletics program with our soccer, basketball and softball teams this past year! 👏 Congratulations Alex and fellow award winners! The AD’s Award is presented annually to a senior girl and/or senior boy who has been a multi-sport varsity athlete and has exemplified dedication to their team and school. Mark your calendar for the Alex Wake '05 Community Tribute - Friday, May 15, 3:30-4 p.m. - Join the entire school as we gather, along with alumnae and our wider community, to remember Alex Wake '05. This event replaces our traditional Alex Wake Memorial 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk. More information will be forthcoming along with specific details and a Zoom link for this fun community event.

Varsity soccer head coach Adrian Cox will be leading FREE virtual soccer and fitness training sessions on Zoom tomorrow April 25, April 30 and May 2 at 3:30pm. These 30-40 minute virtual soccer technical skills and fitness sessions are for both boys and girls of all ages and ability levels from all schools. The focus will be on ball mastery, control, juggling and fitness. The training can take place outdoors or indoors at your home. Equipment needed: athletic attire, cleats or indoor shoes, soccer ball, water bottle, paper and pencil. If interested please email [email protected] for login information.

Extra Inning Softball ranked Blake Landow as the #206 top Class of 2022 player in the country, putting her as a top 80 Class of 2022 outfielder in the country. Keep up the great work Blake!
