The roots of Bryn Mawr Running Company date back to 1991 with a passion for running and drive to promote active lifestyles. Bryn Mawr Running Company stores are co-owned by Bob Schwelm and Sean Linehan. Today, all 5 stores in the BMRC family are some of the most well-known and respected in the Philadelphia area. This reputation took commitment, sweat, and an unconditional passion for the sport. There are few other places that have the experience and expertise of BMRC, and as a result we continue to improve quality of life for so many in the community. In 2008, Bryn Mawr Running Company expanded to Media, PA with the opening of Bryn Mawr Running Company-Media (managed by Karen Stout Gibble). In 2013, we acquired Emmaus Run Inn in Emmaus, PA (managed by Tyler Long). in West Chester, and renamed it Bryn Mawr Running Company-West Chester (managed by Ed Brittingham). In 2021, we acquired Delaware Running Company in Wilmington, DE (managed by Liz Swierzbinski and Chad Darlington).
