USED BOATS SALE

Each year Twin River Outfitters sells of a portion of its rental fleet so we can make room for new boat models. All boats have been used for a few seasons but are ready to go on the river.

The doors open promptly at 8AM on Labor Day Monday. All deals are first come first serve. We don't hold boats, or take advanced orders.

Pricing may vary on some boats depending on condition. Prices do not include mandatory 5.3% VA sales tax which will be added to all boat purchases. Used kayak paddles are available for $25, used canoe paddles are $19 each, used life jackets are $15 with purchase of a used boat.

The Upper James River is running at 2.5 feet on the USGS Buchanan river gauge, good levels for mid-July. Unlike many other rivers in the state, the Upper James is fed by releases from Lake Moomaw / Gathright Dam, ensuring you can always paddle the Upper James River all season, even though we need some rain. We are in prime paddling season, so gather your crew and get them on the river while you can.
