I've made the decision to close Heart Martial Arts. My shoulder has not yet healed and I've been having difficulty getting my strength and endurance back. It has been a real privilege to get to work with your children and to get to know all of you. When Master Harrison had to stop teaching, he asked me if I wanted to keep it going. I said "yes" right away just because of the great group of kids who were there. They have grown, they have overcome fears and obstacles, and they have shown amazing character.

If you are looking to continue your child's training in Tang Soo Do, I recommend Temple Arts in Peoria. https://templearts.net/ Grandmaster Caulfield, who runs Temple Arts, is one of the best martial artists, not only in Arizona, but in the world. He is also an outstanding teacher.

Hi everyone. Just sent an email updating.

Hi everyone. I will not be able to return until at least August 17th, so if we do come back in August--no dues! Sorry for the inconvenience. Miss you all, and hope you are all well.

Three years practicing just the solo kata? Doubtful. That practice includes the practical application of the movements.

Due to this medical issue, classes are cancelled for the rest of July. We hope to resume in August. I will be sending out an email to parents of current students when I know classes can resume. Others can check this page for updates.

Also, in the meantime, Grandmaster Thomas Caulfield has very generously offered to train Heart students at a reduced rate. This is a great opportunity! Check out his Dojang's webpage below for contact information. Trust me, you will NOT regret it!:

Hello, everyone!

Classes will be cancelled this week too, 7/11 and 7/13/. I hope to be medically cleared to return on the 18th, but that depends on whether I can get in to see my doctor and/or neurologist. Hope to see you all soon. And tell those kids to practice, practice, practice!
