Itβs been a hot summer, but that doesnβt mean the outdoor adventures have to stop! Take advantage of the cooler early morning and evening hours and join us at Skyline Regional Park this August.
From exploring the trails with others to learning about Arizonaβs unique wildlife and experiencing the park under the moonlight, there are plenty of ways to get outside and enjoy Skyline.

π₯Ύπ Hikes of the Month Are Back! ππ₯Ύ
We've got an exciting lineup of Hikes of the Month this season at Skyline Regional Park! To help everyone ease back into hiking during the warmer months, we're starting with shorter hikes in August and September before making our way to our first summit hike in a while, Crest Summit later in September! β°οΈ
As always, your safety comes first. Arizona's summer heat can be intense, so please come prepared for a safe and enjoyable hike.
βοΈ Before You Hit the Trail, Remember to Bring:
π§ Stay hydratedβstart drinking water a few days before your hike, not just the day of.
π° Bring extra water (at least 1 extra liter per person).
π Wear proper hiking footwearβleave the sandals and Crocs at home.
π₯£ Eat breakfast and pack a snackβdon't hike on an empty stomach.
π§’ Protect yourself from the sun with a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and other sun protection.
π Wear weather-appropriate clothing, and consider bringing a cooling towel to stay comfortable.

Join us this Friday at Skyline Regional Park for our Venomous Creatures Hike! Discover the fascinating world of the Sonoran Desert's venomous wildlife as you hike with our guides and learn about the important role these incredible animals play in the desert ecosystem.
As the sun sets, we'll break out the UV black lights and search for one of the desert's most elusive nighttime residents, scorpions! π¦β¨

Could you make it through a night in the desert? Join us at Skyline Regional Park for a hands-on survival class where participants will learn practical outdoor skills and desert survival basics.
Learn how to build a survival kit, create shelter, build a fire, and signal for help while gaining useful tips for exploring the outdoors with confidence. This class is open to both youth and adults!
