Let me make something crystal clear, because apparently repetition is the only language some of you understand.
Kenny Omega doesn’t deserve to be AEW Champion.
And while we’re at it, anybody else back there who thinks they do? You don’t either.
Kenny had his run. His little victory lap. His “greatest bout machine” nostalgia tour where everyone claps like trained seals because he can do a million moves that don’t draw a dime without my name attached. Congratulations, Kenny you were great then. This is now.
AEW doesn’t run on star ratings.
It doesn’t run on friendship bracelets.
It doesn’t run on YouTube highlights or “I changed the business” speeches.
It runs on me.
While you were gone, I carried this company on my back, on my microphone, and on my ability to make every single person in that locker room relevant just by standing across from them. I didn’t need a comeback story. I didn’t need sympathy. I didn’t need the fans holding my hand and chanting my name like I’m some kind of indie folk hero.
I took what was mine.
So Kenny, or whoever else wants to step up and pretend they’re “the guy” — you’re not. You’re placeholders. You’re former headlines. You’re living off reputation while I’m creating legacy in real time.
The AEW Championship doesn’t belong to the past.
It doesn’t belong to the locker room.
It doesn’t belong to the fans’ feelings.
It belongs around the waist of the best professional wrestler in the world.
