Preservation Studios

7 Elk Street in Albany, New York has gone through just a few changes since its original construction in the 1830s.

Originally owned/ built by William P. Van Rensselaer, and designed in an early Federal style was eventually converted from a single-family home into private offices. Soon, it will be converted to 13 rentable units. It has become one of the latest examples of residential-to-office-to-residential conversions in the Albany area.

Congratulations are in order!

130 Pearl Street in Buffalo was awarded a Brick by Brick award for its adaptive reuse project, which converted a ca. 1916 building into apartments and street-level commercial space. Preservation Studios assisted with Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 of the historic tax credit application (HPCA).

1 East Avenue in Lockport was also awarded a Brick by Brick award for their renovation of the historic former Lockport post office, which is now office space and Big Ditch Brewing's second location. Preservation Studios assisted with the Part 2 and Part 3.

Pints & Plaster this week at Buffalo Architectural Casting

Our team had a blast creating our own pieces and learning about the excellent work Buffalo Architectural Casting is doing!

This adaptive reuse work was submitted for a Preservation Award and was selected as Best Commercial Project in Niagara County! We will be seeing more details of the project and celebrating tomorrow (Thursday!) at the Richardson Hotel / Campus for our annual Preservation Awards. There are some tickets left!
