Buffalo State Rowing

This week BSRC concluded our ‘25-’26 school year with a chilly row on the Black Rock Canal and donuts (thank you Coach Don!) thanks for a great year, go buff state!!

Here is our ‘25-’26 Wrapped:
🌌 72 dark and early mornings at WSRC
🥈 2 silver medals
🐂 1 collaborative practice w/UB Rowing Club
⏱️ 11 athletes with 2k PRs
🚣🏻‍♂️ 9 athletes rowed in a shell for the first time
🌎 2 days of community service on campus
🍩 A few dozen donuts
🐅 ONE TEAM

Buffalo State Crew had a fantastic combined practice with this morning! We had a great water session despite the rain and enjoyed some delicious breakfast afterwards. Thank you to everyone who came, our coaches, and our gracious hosts! 🍕🚣🥳

❗️Location Change ❗️

The location has been changed to UB’s boathouse in Amherst Veterans Canal Park.

This Saturday, Buffalo State Rowing Club will be hosting a combined practice with !

We will row together outside in mixed boats or have a friendly indoor rowing competition if the weather is poor.

Breakfast will be provided at the end of practice!

This practice will be on Saturday April 25 from 6:50AM to 9:00AM at UB’s Boathouse in Amherst Veterans Canal Park Buffalo NY 14228.

All students welcome even if you’ve never rowed with us before! Come meet the team & learn to row 😁

Congratulations to our President, Jamison Pomroy for graduating yesterday!

Jamison has been rowing for many years prior to joining Buffalo State Rowing and has enjoyed continuing his career here. His experience made him a true asset to his teammates and coaches - encompassing what it means to be a “role model”.

He enjoyed racing this fall in the 2- at the Head of the Schuylkill 2024 Regatta. Jamison is a speedster on and off the water - getting the fastest splits in team history (& a great driving record iykyk)

Jamison’s hard work has been seen off the water at his internship at the preparing other students for business plan competitions. It paid off in getting a full time job in his industry even prior to graduating!

We are so proud of you Jamison and can’t wait to see what else you accomplish!

Congratulations to our Fall 24 Graduate Evan Maher! He will be walking the stage tomorrow at ‘s commencement for earning his degree in International Relations and a GIS Certificate.

Evan has been a dedicated member for a few years including competing in the Head of the Schuylkill 2024 Regatta in the 2-.

Like his degree suggests, Evan is often traveling on school breaks! He also explores Buffalo by visiting all of the different coffee shops (and encouraging his teammates to join him!)

We wish the best for Evan as he enters this new chapter and know his hard work will take him far!

BSU rowing had the pleasure to complete a 2k team race at the beautiful rowing facility ! Thank you for showing us around and for the opportunity to complete the Shamrock row!
