Kickball may have been postponed until tomorrow, but that didn’t stop the fun! The kids cooled off with sprinklers, water guns, and plenty of laughter. This picture was taken just moments before they all teamed up and launched a full-scale attack on Otis!

A huge thank you to some of the men from Buford for getting behind the mission and supporting our kids with donated waters and snacks. Your generosity helps us continue creating a safe, fun, and positive environment for the youth of our community.

Full house doesn’t even begin to describe it! We had 50–60 kids at Above the Rim today, and it was incredible. We’re seeing more older kids come out, and they’ve been doing an amazing job helping and encouraging the younger ones.

We painted masterpieces today. Some looked like Van Gogh, some looked like Picasso, and every single one was beautiful. We laughed, played, and enjoyed 48 hot dogs, 36 sliders, chips, drinks, and cookies. At this rate, a slip n slide kickball water day may be coming very soon!

We also want to give a huge thank you to the City of Buford for providing such an amazing facility for us to use. Their investment in our youth goes far beyond a building. They continue to provide a place where kids can learn, grow, build friendships, and create lasting memories. We are grateful for a city that truly believes in its young people and their futures.

What a day! 💛🍋

We had an absolute blast today, and we are so thankful for everyone who came out and supported our kids. Thanks to this incredible community, we raised $455! Every single penny will go directly back into serving the youth of our great city through Above the Rim Buford.
If you missed it, don’t worry. We’ll definitely be doing it again!

The highlight of the day may have been watching the kids transform into little sales professionals. They stood proudly by the road, waving, smiling, and enthusiastically shouting, “GET YOUR LEMONADE AND COOKIES!” to every car that passed by. Their energy was contagious, and it was impossible not to smile. We may have a few future entrepreneurs in the making!

More importantly, today was another reminder of what can happen when a community comes together around its young people. The lemonade and cookies were great, but the real success was seeing kids learn confidence, teamwork, responsibility, and the value of hard work.

Thank you, City of Buford, for always showing up for our youth. Together, let's continue investing in the next generation and building something special. One child, one opportunity, and yes, one cup of lemonade at a time. 🍋🏀❤️
