A couple successful meat runs on Lake Palestine with my ol buddy Jason. We fished submerged timber in 25 to 35 fow with hand ties that we crafted on Saturday morning. It was his first time catching fish on his own hand tie and it was sho nuff satisfying to watch it come to fruition. We used brighter/darker colors for the most part but went to more natural colors once the sun made an appearance. He even got to witness his first pot licker on Saturday and I showed him how we handle that. We fell in behind and started picking off all the fish they missed until they got frustrated and hauled ass 🤣. I'm not running many trips right now due to a busy schedule but if you're interested in catching big ol nasty slabs give me a shout and we can book a date or get you with another great guide and get you on em.

Had to miss out on the Crappie Anglers of Texas state championship this weekend due to work but I took my frustration out on the fish at Palestine after I got off work. 50 for the weekend and some good quality fish to boot. Fished new timber and the fish were very aggressive. Fall bite is in full swing and will only get better as we go.

I am not very good at staying up to date with posts.. I had Shane, Mariah, and Carter out on Palestine last weekend. We had ourselves a big time and I really enjoyed watching them snipe some really good fish off of brush piles. What truly made the trip special was was Carter's 20lb flathead. I think the adults were way more pumped up about it than he was. Wind kept us off timber which is where i felt we needed to be but we scrounge up a nice mess anyway. The bite really slowed as the day progressed but most fish were caught in 15-20fow on hand ties tipped with minnows.

It is always a good feeling when you are ready to ship out a new order... I appreciate all the support and hope to have more time this year to grow as a leather maker
