🕷𝗔 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿🕸

People came out to the Optimum Community Center this morning to craft some incredibly spooky spiders. Everyone crafted their own unique spidery friend from purple ones to green ones to multi colored ones they all got to take home a new friend with them for this upcoming holiday season.

🦖𝗔 𝗝𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆! 🦕

Children stomped and roared their way to the Optimum Community Center this morning for a prehistoric time. Kids hatched their own paper dinosaurs, dug around through the dirt looking for any new Jurassic discovery's, and hunted down dinosaurs in the wild scavenger hunt like a true T-rex.

Funbelievable Fridays is a free weekly program hosted every Friday at the Optimum Community Center, bringing kids and families together for themed activities, games, and hands-on fun. The program is made possible through support from Mohave Electric Cooperative, DOT Foods, and the Jerry Thompson Agency.

This morning, the community came together to mark 25 years since the events of September 11, 2001. City leaders took the stage at the Performing Arts Pavilion in Gary Keith Park to share remarks honoring the lives lost and recognizing the heroes who served. Afterward, community members walked alongside City leaders and first responders in a moment of silence and reflection.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

This September 11 marks 25 years since the events of September 11, 2001. Bullhead City Recreation invites our community to come together for a Remembrance Walk as we honor the lives lost, recognize the heroes who served, and reflect on the strength and unity that followed. Participants will walk alongside members of our local Police and Fire Departments in a meaningful morning of remembrance and reflection.

🧲 HORSESHOE TRAINING IS TOMORROW! 🧲

Come out to Ken Fovargue Park and sharpen your horseshoe skills as we train for the 2027 Bullhead City Laughlin Golden Games! All skill levels are welcome, so whether you’re experienced or just want to give it a try, come join the fun!

This will be Blind Doubles — partners will be randomly paired, making every game a little different and a lot of fun!

This Saturday, September 12th at 9 a.m. Bullhead City's Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with the River Valley Artist Guild is hosting a bootiful spider crafting event at the Optimum Community Center. A morning filled with fun arts and crafts where anyone can come and create a spooky friend that is all your own to take home. 🚧 ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS IN PROGRESS AT ROTARY PARK ♿

You may have noticed the temporary closure and construction fencing in this area. The ramp is currently closed while improvements are being made to bring it into ADA compliance, creating safer and more accessible access for everyone in our community.

And more improvements are on the way! 🌊

Beginning this December, our Bullhead City Public Works team will be creating a new ADA-accessible river access ramp, helping provide improved access to the Colorado River for individuals of all abilities.

We appreciate your patience while our crews work to make our parks and riverfront more accessible for everyone!
