Host Kateea Manis takes you behind the scenes for Night 7 at Volunteer Speedway for the Best Plumber 604 Racing Series.

This one had a little bit of everything. We grabbed a young race fan out of the grandstands and took him through the pits to meet the drivers and collect some autographs before getting down to business on the track.

And the racing? It definitely didn’t disappoint. One heck of a race with a crazy outcome that you’ll have to watch until the end to see. 👀🏁

Our Hard Charger Award goes to Koulten Herbert Racing!

Koulten went into the Gap as the series points leader, just 2 points separating him and second place. The 611 struggled early, ultimately needing a provisional to make the feature putting his points lead in jeopardy. Starting 21st in the feature, Koulten found speed on the high side working his way through the field to bring home a 5th-place finish and protecting his points lead.

+16 spots gained and a solid top-five finish earns Koulten Herbert this week’s Hard Charger Award!

Our Daytona 1 Hard Luck Award goes to Colby Horner.

The Rusty Webb Racing 22 piloted by Colby Horner came into Bulls Gap as a favorite to beat. Colby qualified 2nd fastest in Group B, putting him on the pole for Heat 4, and he’d keep there winning his heat locking in a 4th place starting position for the feature.

Colby started outside second row in the feature and quickly made his way to the front, taking the lead from Bradley Lewelling on lap 15. After taking the lead and checking out by a half straightaway, Colby’s luck would run out on lap 25, blowing up and ending his strong night at the Gap.

Will the 22 find redemption at I-75 and turn that speed into a strong finish?
