Ranking is based on a cumulative score of each archers’ best two from the series, and double the Championship scores (first four ends only due to lightning cancellation). All scores are listed here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aZKHZsv2XtXNJ3kDGQ4a1rW9M0p-_zHC1JiBxhWloEE/edit?usp=sharing

Clubs, coaches, archery shops and individual archers that registered unaffiliated should be on the lookout for an e-mail soon regarding delivery of the medals.

We had 166 archers participate and shoot a total of 365 scores this season, versus 136 archers and 329 scores in 2025. We really appreciate the turn out from the archery community this year. We already have a few clubs that are interested in hosting next year!

We are also going through the age classes and equipment divisions to expand the medals for 2027, especially with recurve archers, as they all had an excellent turn out! More to follow.

Last but not least, a VERY special thanks to all the volunteers, parents, judges and others this year! We couldn't have done it without you!

Please stay following this page for announcements in the off season!

2026 TOTS Cumulative Scores 07/12/2026

Hello everyone,

Let me up front apologize for the long post. Here we go!

First, I want to thank everyone for making it out to the Championship. We had a total of 73 archers show up, making it one of the largest championship rounds ever. Competition was going great, but after the fourth scoring end around 11:15 am, we had to cancel due to lightning. Just so everyone is aware - I continued to monitor afterwards and the lightning lasted until about 4 pm, so it's a good thing we chose to go ahead and cancel around 12:30 pm instead of chancing everyone's afternoon and drive home. We may have had a short window to get the archers back on the field, but we would have had to stop again soon after.

We are working out the details on getting all the scores sorted and we'll use the four scoring ends as a basis to figure out all division winners. From there, we will contact all the winners regarding the medals. As a reminder, current scores are listed here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aZKHZsv2XtXNJ3kDGQ4a1rW9M0p-_zHC1JiBxhWloEE/

Second, it has come to my realization that the original information that was posted about the Texas Outdoor Target Series on TSAA's website is now unlisted, so there is much confusion about how the series is ran. This is a failure on our part... even though we have listed brief details on the Sport80 event information page, we could have done a better job being more informative.

When Stacey and I took over as Tournament Directors, our job was to maintain the series with little to no changes. Unfortunately, the TSAA website has little to no information about this currently. Also, as most are aware, Eyes on Score does not tally the scores properly to work with how the series is ran, so we went back to paper scorecards until that system is compatible. Due to this, please disregard the scores listed on TSAA's website as they are not complete nor correct.

Third, I used the Wayback Machine (web.archive.org) to dig up the former TSAA website to verify the TOTS rules: https://web.archive.org/web/20250327025354/https://www.tsaa.us/events/texas-outdoor-target-series-tots/

Here is the gist as well as some snippets regarding the current Field of Play:

- All target distances and faces mirror each age/divisions' USA Archery outdoor target format. Xs and X+10s are tallied for tie breakers.

- Each series or location is three 36-arrow games, of which your best two count towards that series score. It can be the first and third game, second and third, whatever... you don't even need to shoot all three, just two. But note only the first two games (NOT the best two) can be submitted for official records, during a sanctioned tournament only.

- The best two series scores throughout the season get counted towards each archers' cumulative score.

- The championship is a 72-arrow round, multiplied twice (to mimic a 1440 two-day score) and is added to the cumulative score.

- Winners that finish first, second and third receive medals based on their total cumulative score, with two series shoots and the championship required to receive a medal.

- Male and females are awarded separate across all classes and divisions. All age classes and some equipment divisions are combined due to participation numbers.

- Age classes combined for medals:
= Yeoman (U10), U13 and U15
= U18 and U21
= Senior and all Masters

- Equipment divisions for medals:
= Barebow, Traditional and Longbow (combined)
= Recurve
= Compound
= Fixed Pin
= Para Compound
= Para Recurve
= Para W1

- The separate age classes and equipment divisions are still logged in the event that state and national records are broken.

We would LOVE to see changes with separating some of the combined age classes and equipment divisions. Only boosting participation numbers will help. We will review the 2026 season's attendance to propose changes for next season once everything is all wrapped up.

Lastly, to be eligible for the Gallivanter pin, you had to attend three of the four series plus the championship. We were able to distribute most of the pins yesterday, but if you did not receive your pin, please contact us at [email protected] and we will verify and get you your award.

I apologize this is a very complex series and there hasn't been much transparency on how it operates. We're here to continue the legacy put in place in 2013 by John Magera and Tom Barker. If you have questions, concerns or ideas, please speak up at the TSAA public meetings.

-Jessie

There are still a few conflicts to work out before we can set the standings. Please note you can shoot in ONLY one age class and division throughout TOTS! If you change classes/divisions, you need two scores in that set to qualify for the championship.

PLEASE VERIFY YOUR SCORES using the tabs at the bottom of the page. Note the archers with conflicts will have errors on these tabs. We had some technical issues with a few shoots in the series. Let us know if you have issues at [email protected] and send a pic of your scorecard. Note that we do NOT have access to the TOTS TSAA email address, and any inquiries sent to it will take more time to get answered.

Registration for the TOTS Championship on July 11th at AMO is on Sport80 at: https://www.usarchery.org/events/event-information/50272

Congratulations to everyone that competed this past Saturday at Buffalo Field Archery Club. There was an excellent turnout of archers!

Since there have been some questions, here are some notes regarding the adjusted awards process for the 2026 season:

1. To be eligible for a medal, you must participate in two of the series plus the championship.
2. To be eligible for the Gallivanter pin, you must participate in three of the series plus the championship.

Unfortunately, this season we only have two clubs hosting. There were two or three other clubs that showed interest, but they lacked the resources to host this year. We cannot express enough that volunteers run this series, so go out and support your local club, regardless if you are competing or not! Hopefully next season there will be more options. Is your club interested? Shoot us an e-mail: [email protected]

Texas State Archery Association would like all scores to be on Eyes on Score for easier access to records. At this time, the cumulative scores will not tally properly as EoS is not setup for those calculations. We will continue to work with the spreadsheet as used previous years for those scores. It's a work in progress... for 2026, it can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aZKHZsv2XtXNJ3kDGQ4a1rW9M0p-_zHC1JiBxhWloEE

We appreciate everyone's feedback, positive or negative. Please comment below if you have some input!
