Tendinosis or Nerve Pain?
Most of us who treat athletes are keenly aware that repetitive gripping can strain elbow tendons, leading to palpable maladaptions in tendon structure. During clinical examination of tennis elbow, clients often report tenderness over the common forearm extensor tendon insertion at the lateral epicondyle. Pain is reproduced with resisted wrist and middle finger extension and with gripping activities. I’ve had some success treating tendinopathies by working the tissues above and below the injury site and then teaching specific eccentric strengthening exercises. In the past few years, I’ve added articular stretching and neural mobilization techniques to calm hyper excited mechanoreceptors, reduce protective muscle guarding, and remove tension on strained fibers and compressed nerve tunnels.

I’m reaching out to local tennis clubs on behalf of Toll Middle School to ask if you have a tennis ball recycling program that we could tap into to help with expenses for our Dash of the Titans fundraiser on October 24th? We need about 200 tennis balls for a fundraising event at our school and they don’t need to have much bounce.
Thanks in advance for your help!

You can workout and stay safe with the most socially distanced sport, TENNIS!

We know it's inconvenient but due to Covid-19 restrictions we're not able to supply balls with our ball machine rentals. To rent the machines players must bring their own balls. The machines hold approximately 300 balls and we hope this will be temporary. Thank you for your patience!

We're happy to announce that doubles tennis has returned! Please continue to practice social distancing and, for now, there is still a maximum of four players allowed on a court. Thank you for being patient, there's more good news to come!

We hope to return to regular hours tomorrow

Whether you're out and about or staying in, don't forget the finals this weekend!

Could it be as hot as yesterday? Don't think so! Enjoy with us, we're open all day!

So sad to announce that Don Henson passed away this morning. Don was so many things to so many people. It's rare to see someone have an effect on as many lives as Don. He was always willing to help, always held his principles above all and was very passionate about tennis (and Baseball).
Don coached tennis for over 50 years and was a USPTA Master Professional, the highest level of tennis instructor. He also was a tester for both the USPTR AND USPTA and certified thousands of coaches.
He realized his dream of founding the Tennis Teachers Institute, his way of raising the standards of tennis instruction.
It's not a stretch to say we could talk about this special man all day. Anyone who met him can confirm that. We won't be alone when we say we'll miss you and love you Don!

We're almost ALL stuck in the house and it can be tough to stay positive! There's only so many pandemic/end of the world/monster movies you can watch! We know you're watching because Netflix has movies like OUTBREAK and 2012 (watched that last night 🙂) ranked in it's top 10!
Well Yale, yes THAT YALE, is riding to the rescue! Now Yale's MOST popular class EVER, "The Science of Well Being" is available for FREE online! The topic is how to be happier in your daily life and who couldn't use some of that?!
