The Burbank Dance Academy Foundation is the community outreach initiative of Burbank Dance Academy started in 2015. We believe that committed dancers should have access to outstanding training regardless of financial circumstance. To date we have given over $250,000.00 in financial assistance providing opportunities for pursuing and experiencing dance is a meaningful way to fostering the next generation of dance artists.
This year we are able to provide partial and full financial assistance to three dancers in our school. With this financial aid, these dancers and their families are able to offset some of the cost of pointe shoes, costumes, tuition, coaching fees and associated travel. The Pre-Academy is our preparatory division that introduces children to the beauty and joy of dance. Our youngest dancers begin in Pre-Ballet starting at age 3 (or potty-trained) progressing through Preparatory levels 1-4. The focus is on developing musicality, rhythm, flexibility, strength, and stamina with a specific focus on fundamental technical progression.
