Los Angeles has always been a city of contrasts: bustling streets and serene parks, endless opportunities and tight-knit communities. But today, we find ourselves united not by choice, but by heartbreak and resilience. The fires have uprooted so many of us, forcing families from their homes, students from their schools, and neighbors from the parks and places we hold dear. Entire communities are now memories, left smoldering in the wake of unimaginable loss.

My family and I have been evacuated, and while I’m grateful to be safe, my heart is heavy knowing so many of our friends, coworkers, and schoolmates are experiencing the unthinkable. Homes filled with cherished memories, schools that served as second homes, and parks where laughter once echoed—gone.

Right now, my heart is packed tightly in the car with us, heading toward safer ground. But it also remains with those who have lost everything. To those affected, please know you are not alone. We are praying for you, grieving with you, and standing by to support you in any way we can.

In the face of this devastation, I am overwhelmed by gratitude for the firefighters and first responders risking everything to protect our communities. Your bravery reminds us of the strength and goodness that shine even in the darkest moments.

Los Angeles may be scarred, but it is far from broken. Together, we will rebuild, recover, and carry each other forward. Home is where the heart is, and my heart is with all of you. Sending love, prayers, and hope as we navigate this difficult time—together.
