When a 3-piece rod is still too bulky for the trail, you scale down. The Trek 6'6" 2/3 WT pack rod by Cache Peak Rod Company is a custom-built fiberglass masterpiece that weighs only 1.6 ounces and shrinks down to 11 inches. Built by hand right here in Idaho, it lives perfectly in a trail pack or hip pouch so you never have to walk past a rising trout again.

The reward for putting in the work. 🏔️🎣

Watching this gorgeous Snake River brown trout swim away to fight another day is what it's all about. When you're targeting heavy river fish in fast water, you need a rod with the perfect backbone and responsiveness to control the fight and ensure a safe, quick release.

That is exactly why we build our fly rods by hand right here in Southern Idaho—to handle these exact moments.
