The Burlington Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a Maintenance Craftsman to join our Recreation Maintenance Division. This full-time position plays a vital role in maintaining Burlington's parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, schools, and recreational facilities.
What You'll Do:
🌿 Maintain parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields
🚜 Operate and maintain specialized equipment and vehicles
🔨 Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry repairs
🏟️ Help maintain recreational facilities throughout the community
❄️ Respond to weather-related emergencies and assist with seasonal operations
What We're Looking For:
✔ High School Diploma and at least one year of related maintenance experience
✔ Ability to perform physically demanding work
✔ Experience operating and maintaining maintenance equipment
✔ Willingness to obtain a Class B CDL, MA Hoisting Engineer's License (2A), and Certified Pool Operator License within six months of employment
