UVM Club Sports

The health and safety of our students and community members is our top priority. Following the university's COVID-19 response, all UVM Club Sports events and travel are suspended until at least the end of March. All club spending is also suspended until further notice. All reservations and financial commitments made through the end of March should be cancelled by student leaders and refunds should be requested if possible. UVM athletic facilities are also closed until further notice. We understand that this is a very difficult and confusing time for all, and we appreciate your patience as we figure out the best ways to handle the current situation. Club Sports COVID-19 Updates

The annual LUVMYCLUB fundraising challenge kicks off today! This is a great opportunity for our clubs to raise funds while competing with other campus organizations to earn additional cash prizes! Last year, campus clubs and organizations raised over $45,000 during the campaign!

It is with great sadness that we share with you that our long-tenured Men’s Rugby Coach, Declan Connolly has passed away of natural causes while on a work-related trip in France. Declan was many things on this campus from a renowned expert in his field, accomplished researcher, a facilitator of knowledge in his classroom, and head coach of our Men’s Rugby team. My personal connections to Declan included many of those roles as he served as one my advisors during my graduate studies, was a chairperson in my faculty assignment, but like many of you I will most remember him as coach.

Our condolences go out to everyone Declan has impacted and especially to his family where he played his biggest role as husband and Dad. The University will be publishing information about campus and family services as they become available.

Welcome back everyone! Hope you are all as excited for the semester as our Nordic Ski club who have been training over break for the upcoming race season.

Our Fall Raffle raised over $6,500 for our participating teams to help them accomplish their goals. Thanks to all who supported us.

Opportunities to enroll in this great spring break opportunity end in the next 24 hours

Celtic Cats attended at a competition at Villanova this past weekend taking 3rd place out of 19 teams in the “fun dance”, 4th place and 11th place out of 55 teams in the 4-hands, and 5th place out of 23 teams in the 8-hand. Soloists won 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 9th in their respective categories. Go Celtic Cats Go.
