Thanksgiving Day marked the final game Head Coach Joe Frappoli would be on the sidelines. For 50+ years, Coach Frappoli has been apart of Florence Football starting out as a player then a coach. Since 1999, I have had the opportunity to stand on the sideline as a volunteer photographer until Covid 19 entered all of our lives. I believe that 2020 was the last time I was on the field for football, soccer, baseball, softball and hockey.

In my 23 years of doing this, I have watched my daughter Jamie cheer on the 2002 team to just miss being the state champions, witnessed back to back state titles from 2003 through 2006 and again in 2012. Then, to watch my son Josh come back to play his senior year brought it ll full circle. It has been my honor to stand on these same sidelines with Joe and his coaching staff during the best and worst of weather conditions. What Joe spoke about in the huddle was truly words for all to learn by. We are family. . . We are the Florence Flashes Family. Thank you Joe for these great years.

I can no longer put off the inevitable. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, I will be unable to attend any football or other sports games this season. It saddens me that this is the first in 20 years that I will not be on the sidelines. Please share any photos and videos with me or to the page and I will make sure everyone can see them. I wish the world was in a different place right now, but it isn't and we must do our due diligence to protect ourselves and others around us.

I wish someone had told me what date the banquet was. I seem to be outta the loop here. Not that that would be any different from previous years, but it would have been nice to have known. :(

It saddens me that you seniors didn't get your photos, not that they were ready because many of you never sent in your photo of choice. Perhaps you need a little more time. Anyway, I'll get them to you seniors . . . give me some time. I apologize.

Senior football players, please go through the posted pictures and choose a good one that will be able to be enlarged. Due to my time constraints, I am not able to do it. Attention all senior boys and cheerleaders . . . Senior pictures will be taken after the game so don't go anywhere and be ready. Cheerleaders, I will need all of the cheerleaders either at half time or following the game for a group picture. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Senior Boys: start looking through the games and pick which photo you want of yourself playing for your poster. It can be any of the years I have taken of you playing high school ball.
