Sifu Jess Upton started studying Shaolin Kung Fu in 1998 at age 20 with Sifu Royee Fuller of 5 Elements of Shaolin. He studied various systems such as Wing Chun, Choy Lay Fut and Hung Ga Kung Fu. In 2003 Sifu Jess Upton started training under Sifu Rommie Revell who taught Northern Shaolin, Choy Lay Fut and Hung Ga Kung Fu. In 2010 Sifu Jess Upton was promoted to the rank of Sifu under Sifu Rommie
