Meet Amanda!

Her smile encompasses everything we are at CFB: kindness, eagerness to learn, and the work ethic and discipline needed to keep her moving forward. Outside of the gym she’s
working to become a licensed clinical psychologist, as well as loves to travel and experience music and adventure any chance she can. We are so grateful to have her as a member at CFB.
Here’s what she has to say:
“Coming back is easy because I know I’ll never regret showing up, even on the days I’m dragging. Molly built a gym where people of every age, ability, and background belong. that kind of community is worth coming back for”

Our friends at Burlington Physical Therapy are running a free clinic focused on wrists and elbows!

Whether you’re dealing with nagging discomfort during workouts, stiffness from work or daily life, or just want to learn how to keep your joints healthy, this is a great opportunity to get expert guidance.
They’ll cover common causes of wrist and elbow pain, simple strategies to improve mobility and strength, and answer your questions along the way. Whether you’re currently in pain or looking to stay ahead of it, we’d love to see you there.

Handstands are more than a party trick.
Sure, they look cool… but they also build:
Shoulder strength
Midline stability
Coordination
Spatial awareness
Confidence
Body control
Learning to be upside down teaches you a lot about how your body moves and where you compensate. It forces you to slow down, pay attention, and practice control instead of just muscling through things.
Starting August 24th, Coach Molly is running TWO 6-week Handstand Small Groups at CFB:
Beginner + Intermediate.
Beginner Track:
Perfect for anyone who has always wanted to learn handstands but doesn’t know where to start.
Intermediate Track:
For athletes already comfortable upside down who want to work on freestanding balance, handstand walking, and handstand push-up progressions.
Both groups are capped at 5-6 people, so there’s plenty of individual coaching and feedback throughout the 6 weeks.
Members: $99 every 2 weeks (3 total installments)
Non-members: $139 every 2 weeks (3 total installments)

This week we’re giving a shoutout to Ashley!

When she’s not working as an ER physician, you’ll usually find her outside. Whether she’s swimming laps, squeezing in ski days, mountain biking, running, canoe camping with her kids, or heading out on another weekend adventure, Ashley has built a life around staying active and making the most of every season. We’re lucky to have her as part of our community.

This is what she has to say:

“I joined the gym 18 months ago because I couldn’t portage our canoe. In 39 years of endurance sports, it never occurred to me to try and lift heavy things. Within my first month, I was blown away by the people and the joy of training in community with others.
I’m ER doc with happy circadian chaos for a schedule. This means that I am lucky enough to rotate between class times and hang out so many smart, creative, and supportive humans. I portaged the canoe many times over and ran the Mansfield the camels hump traverse last year. I’m now learning to clear table top jumps chasing my eight year-old down mountain bike trails using the same movement patterns I practice doing box jumps, burpees, cleans, and kipping pull-ups.”

Meet three of our semi-private members: Mary, Jodi and Marcia.

These three bring some major sunshine to the 7:40 am crew over in the annex. They are committed to their health and movement, are eager to learn, and have an endless amount of support they share.

They can often be seen huddled together even when there’s a lot of space, gabbing between sets, and always creating time for extras 🫶🏻

June was another incredible month at CrossFit Burlington.

We celebrated Pride Month with our annual Pride WOD and a dance party, got outside for group runs, welcomed a lot of new faces during Bring a Friend Day, and took advantage of plenty of Vermont sunshine along the way.

A huge congratulations to our 94 June Committed Club members. The Committed Club recognizes everyone who attends 12 or more classes in a month!

If your name made the list, congratulations! If not, all you have to do is show up to CFB 12 times in July.

Here’s to another great month ahead!

Free Seminar coming soon: HEART HEALTH & LONGEVITY

Join us July 31st for an evening with Dr. Hobie Fuerstman, a physician who has spent his career focused on root-cause healing and whole-person care.

He’ll cover the metrics that matter most for your heart and exactly what you can do about them. Practical, eye-opening, and completely free.

Here is a little taste of what you will learn:
Why one particular measure of fitness may tell you more about your long-term health than almost anything else and why it is never too late to improve it
How the conventional wisdom around blood pressure and what counts as “normal” has quietly shifted
A different way of thinking about cholesterol that goes beyond a single lab result or annual checkup
And most importantly, clear and doable steps to take charge of your own heart health.

When: July 31st @ 5:30pm
Where: CFB
Cost: FREE
Spots are limited. Link in bio to sign up. Open to non-CFB members!
