Ava Pazzia has been an incredible part of our cheer family for the past three years — volunteering as a junior coach and pouring her heart into every athlete she worked with. She has helped shape our D Team into the cheerleaders they are today, and her role in their back-to-back Nationals runs — most recently placing 3rd in the Nation 🏆 — cannot be overstated.

What makes Ava’s dedication even more special is that she did all of this as a busy high school student. Balancing a job, schoolwork, her own cheer team, and everything that comes with being a teenager and she still showed up for these girls!

Ava started her all-star cheer journey at the age of four and most recently spent six years at ECE, earning a resume that speaks for itself — an NCA Champion, Cheersport Champion, and Grand Level 6 Summit Champion 🏆. She brought every bit of that knowledge, passion, and experience to our girls. But more than her championships, it was her warmth, her patience, and her genuine love for these kids that made her truly irreplaceable. The girls didn’t just look up to her as a coach — they adored her.❤️

This past season, Ava served as cheer captain at Austin Prep, leading her team to a 1st place finish at States. 👏🏆

We are so proud to award Ava the Burlington Youth Cheer College Scholarship and wish her nothing but the best as she heads to Merrimack College this fall to study Psychology and continue her cheer journey cheering for the Warriors. 📣

Saying she will be missed is an understatement — this program won’t be the same without her. Go get ‘em, Ava! ❤️

Brooklynn Richardson is truly a Burlington cheer legacy. She grew up in this program, competed at Nationals multiple times as a kid — bringing home national titles — and has cheer in her blood. Her Mom ran the program for years and Brooklynn was right there by her side — dedicating her time and energy and acting as her right hand. Her journey from a little girl on this mat to where she is today is exactly what this program is all about.

Her cheer resume speaks for itself. Brooklynn has been a JAG cheerleader for 14 years — their longest standing athlete — and this year, she earned a spot on JAG’s first-ever Level 6 team, competing at Worlds. 🌎 As captain of the Burlington High School cheer team this past season, she led her squad to a 2nd place finish at States. 👏

Brooklynn is proof of what this program produces — dedicated, hardworking, competitive athletes who go on to do incredible things. We are so proud to award her the Burlington Youth Cheer College Scholarship as she heads to the University of New Hampshire this fall to pursue a double major in Psychology and Legal Studies — and to cheer for the Wildcats in their Division I program. 📣

Once a Burlington cheer girl, always a Burlington cheer girl. Go get ‘em, Brooklynn! ❤️
