⚾🥎 SVBSA Fall Update—One Association, All Programs Matter

As fall ball winds down, thank you to our players, families, coaches, and volunteers for another great season! A few updates as we look ahead:

📅 Spring Registration: Baseball and softball signups open in just over a month. Watch for details!

⚾ Year-Around Competitive Teams: Evaluations are underway for teams that play in tournaments and games against other communities. Winter training begins in January.

🏟️ Two New Turf Fields: The new turf infields at Community Park Fields 3 and 4 are an exciting improvement for our association!

🙌 Volunteers Needed: We’re looking for help with projects of all kinds. Whether you have a little time, a particular skill, or simply want to get involved, we can use your help!

🍂 Fall Field Cleanup—November 7: Help us prepare the fields for winter and put equipment away. Very little physical effort is needed, just extra hands to help wrap up the season!

We are one association, and all programs matter. Our recreational program is the foundation of SVBSA, providing 700+ players the opportunity to play, learn, and enjoy baseball and softball.

Players selected for year-around competitive teams must also participate in our in-house program. Our competitive and recreational programs work together, and a strong in-house program is essential to the success of both.

⚾ SVBSA Updates

📅 General Meeting — Today, September 13, 6:00 PM, Brush Creek Room, Cranberry Township Municipal Center

⚾ Tournament Team Tryouts
- 12U, September 18 or 20
- 8U & 9U, October 16 or 18
- 10U & 11U, October 23 or 25

Tryouts begin at 6:00 PM. Players only need to attend one date. Field locations will be announced later.

Registration deadlines:
- 12U, September 16
- 8U–11U, October 1
- 7U, Registration and tryouts will be held in spring 2027

🏟️ The new turf Fields 3 and 4 at Cranberry Community Park are officially open and in play!

🗳️ Board elections will be held at the October General Membership Meeting. Please review the SVBSA Bylaws for details.

⚾🥎 BIG NEWS FOR SVBSA!

We couldn’t be more excited about the new turf infields at Cranberry Community Park and what they mean for our players!

The new fields will extend our playing season, giving our teams more opportunities for practices and games throughout the fall while reducing cancellations due to wet weather.

This project is a great example of what can happen when SVBSA and Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania work together to invest in our athletes and community.

We’re incredibly excited to see these fields in action this fall!

The SVBSA family is heartbroken by the loss of two members of our baseball community, Cody Huffman and Garrett Griffin.

Both were devoted husbands, fathers, coaches, and friends who gave so much of themselves to the young athletes and families in our association. Their impact reached far beyond the baseball field, and they will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing them.

Our thoughts and prayers are with both families during this unimaginable time. We ask our community to continue keeping them in your hearts in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

🚨 Field Closure Notice – Friday, July 17 🚨

Due to the current air quality alerts and out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our players, families, coaches, umpires, and volunteers, all SVBSA fields are closed today.

We know this is disappointing, but the well-being of everyone in our baseball and softball community always comes first.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We will provide updates as conditions improve.

Stay safe, and we hope to see everyone back on the fields soon.
