As a guy who’s become somewhat known for his T-shirts, I’ve always had a passion for clothing design. I tried turning that passion into something of my own years ago, but at the time, I didn’t have the space or time to give it the attention it deserved. Now, I’m taking another shot at it.
I’ve decided to combine the discipline I’ve built in the gym with my passion for clothing design and see where it takes me.
A few people have asked me, “Why Square Built?”
Before I got into law enforcement, I was a carpenter. I learned early on that if you want to build something strong, it has to start with a solid foundation. Every detail matters. You have to be precise from the ground up, and you have to maintain that discipline every single day.
That lesson has carried over into just about every area of my life. Some days, you’re tired. Some days, you’re not motivated. But you show up and do the work anyway. That’s discipline.
As I got into lifting and started getting stronger, people would joke that I was as wide as I was tall. Built like a square. Honestly, I took that as a compliment. The name stuck, and Square Built was born.
I might end up being the only person buying my stuff, but I’m giving this an honest shot. More than anything, I want Square Built to represent people who are forged through discipline. People who are constantly working to become better versions of themselves, whether they’re working blue-collar jobs, pulling shifts as first responders, raising families, or putting in the work in the gym.
Because discipline isn’t about being motivated one day and losing interest the next. It’s about having a plan, staying consistent, and doing what needs to be done even when you don’t feel like it.
For me, it all comes down to one motto: Strength Has Structure.
To my friends and family, even if buying a shirt isn’t your thing, I’d really appreciate a follow or a share. Your support means a lot as I get this off the ground.
And Square Built won’t just be about selling clothes. I want to share free, useful content along the way, including fitness education and maybe a few lessons I’ve picked up through my experiences as a father, husband, and person.
This is a new chapter, and I’m excited to see where it goes.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to support me and give Square Built a chance. It genuinely means a lot.
