I love our gym! It’s filled with the best cheerleaders an athlete could ever have and always provides an all-inclusive environment.

I work in finance & accounting in the construction industry for a general contractor.

I have a degree from the Iowa Culinary Institute.

ATTENTION VEKTLØFTERS!! Registration for STATE will open on Oct 1st, cost $115, November 1st price increases to $125, Late Registration is $150.00 and will only allow you to lift as an extra lifter.

It will held on January 8-10th at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio. After you have registered please let Jim and/or Misty know. Hope you guys are having a fantastic week!

🔥 Behind the Barbell: Stella

Meet Stella, an 8th grader from Caddo Mills who’s proving you can do it all!

Outside the gym, she’s the captain of her middle school drill team, coaches beginner gymnastics, and serves as a BETA Texas State Representative. After spending 12 years in gymnastics, she’s recently retired from the sport—but brought that athleticism straight to the platform.

💥 Latest PR: 40 kg Clean & Jerk
🏆 Next Milestone: Qualified and headed to the Virus Competition!

If she could pick up another sport, she’d choose diving, thanks to the body awareness and skills she developed during her gymnastics career.

Meet Yvonne—a wife and full-time volleyball mom who somehow still finds time to chase big goals under the barbell. When she’s not helping clients as a realtor, you’ll probably find her in the gym working toward her dream of a 90kg Clean & Jerk, or on the golf course convincing herself this is the round she’ll finally play like a scratch golfer.🏌️‍♀️ ⛳️

Her favorite lift is the Clean & Jerk, she’s firmly on Team Front Squat over Back Squat, and if recovery day is on the schedule, don’t be surprised if she’d rather be training instead. Fueling her sessions? Rice Krispies, Diet Coke, and wings—all flats, of course.

Before weightlifting, Yvonne was a swimmer, and today she’s focused on building one thing just as much as strength: confidence under heavy weights. She shows up, puts in the work, and proves that balancing family, career, and competitive lifting is possible with consistency, grit, and a little Diet Coke. 🥤 💁🏻‍♀️

Hadley Stewart 🏋🏼‍♀️

Don’t let her age fool you—she’s already making a name for herself on the platform. A middle school student, state champion and soccer player, she proves that hard work pays off both in sports and in the classroom.

What she loves most about our gym is the community. To her, everyone is open, kind, and supportive, making it a place she enjoys training at. She’s been lifting for two years, and her favorite competition memory is winning the state championship.

Her advice to anyone just getting started is simple: Don’t quit. Even when it’s hard, keep going.

Outside the gym, you’ll usually find her playing soccer, traveling, or dreaming about a trip to the Bahamas. Christmas is her favorite holiday because it’s a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus. One of the biggest reasons she fell in love with lifting is watching her parents train and push themselves, inspiring her to do the same.

We’re excited to see all she accomplishes next—both on and off the platform!

I have been weightlifting off and on for years. I love it and was first drawn to it through CrossFit.

I am definitely an evening athlete. I don’t do early morning workouts.

The advice I’d give beginners is have humility and grace for the sport. I’m still learning this. It’s a very technical sport . Try to learn to enjoy the process more than the outcome and have fun with it. It’s easy to get caught up in the weight. But know that beginners and veterans will go through peaks and valleys. Learning to accept that will put you way ahead of most lifters, me included lol

My favorite song to lift to is iron oath Ylva Ironheart

I love the community, you get to lift and it’s just you and the platform and it’s just based on your performance, but you do it as a team and there is so much support and love that we give each other.

I’m currently a nursing student, just graduated as a liscenced vocational nurse and am entering the registered nursing program in the fall.

My favorite music artist is Ray Lamontagne

Favorite hobby outside of lifting is anything outside. I like to bike and hike

My favorite drink is Coffee! I love multiple different coffees too. I absolutely love to try different coffee shops (local) anywhere I go. My go to order is a drip coffee with heavy cream or brown sugar shaken espresso is my guilty pleasure.

Loves to show Aliyah (daughter) an example of consistency and hard work and a healthy lifestyle 🥰

A fun fact about me is I love storms (the crazier the better). I should have been a storm chaser particularly tornadoes 😬

My favorite show is friends! I could quote the entire show with mannerisms and all. It’s my comfort show I can put on in the background .
