The first system next week will push through Tuesday and into Wednesday dropping 3-5” of snow in portions of the Great Lakes. A few areas near Lake Superior may pick up 8-12” because of lake effect snow. This is a fast-moving system with snow only falling for around eight hours that doesn’t include lake effect.

Press Release from International Snowmobile Manufacturers Assoc
Join us for International Snowmobile Ride Day – February 14, 2026
The International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association (ISMA)
is excited to celebrate International Snowmobile Ride Day on Saturday, February 14ᵗʰ, 2026.
Held annually on the second Saturday in February, this year’s Ride Day is extra special as it coincides with Valentine’s Day – giving snowmobilers the perfect opportunity to spend the day with someone they love and enjoy the sport they love.
ISMA encourages snowmobilers everywhere to get out on the trails, share the experience with friends and family, and enjoy the health and wellness benefits of spending time outdoors during the winter.
Snowmobiling not only connects riders with nature – it also supports small businesses and communities throughout the North American Snowbelt, many of which rely on the economic boost
snowmobilers bring them during the winter season.
This year’s event takes place during Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week (February 7-16, 2026), an initiative that invites riders to introduce non-snowmobiling friends to the sport and show them
firsthand how fun, accessible, and community-driven snowmobiling can be.
As part of the ISMA grant program, nineteen snowmobile clubs across North America have received
funding to host a ride or special event this Saturday. If you live near one of these clubs, we
encourage you to join their activity – or connect with your local club to plan your own ride for
the weekend. Getting involved with your local snowmobile club is one of the best ways to meet
fellow riders, explore new trails, and support snowmobiling in your region.
Have a great International Snowmobile Ride Day – and ride safely this weekend!

Fresh in from Randy Cornell after today's with K&R Outfitters, LLC.
Fresh fluffy snow falling at the start of the day is always a blessing. gave us a light covering overnight and continued colder temps out in the around the Cadillac area and the volunteers that groom the trails from Winter Promotions have provided the best we have had in the past 3 winters. Smooth, quick and wide to boot. Rode north on 37 up to Mesick and then back south onto 637 and 6 around the south and west side of Caberfae Peaks. Stopped for lunch at the Trailside Tavern, very good food! It was a great ride through the National Forest with plenty of beautiful scenery. And my favorite Hemlock tree in the area has survived another four !
